Joey Janela announced on Twitter that he that he will face Kota Ibushi at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7 event on Friday, March 31. The show is part of The Collective 2023, that takes place at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California.
Ibushi last wrestled in October 2021. He has been out of in-ring action due to a shoulder injury he suffered during his match against Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the 2021 G1 Climax Tournament. His contract with NJPW expired this past January and he did not re-sign with the promotion. Ibushi is also a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
Ibushi is also scheduled for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport on Thursday March 30, where he will face IMPACT star Mike Bailey.
Other matches on the card are as follows:
-Speedball Mike Bailey vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo and The Motor City Machine Guns vs. East West Express (Jordan Oliver and Nick Wayne) for the GCW Tag Team Titles.
