MLW owner addresses accusations against star ‘ghosting’ charity event

Days after the report of MLW star Jacob Fatu essentially ‘ghosting’ a charity event, MLW Owner Court Bauer has addressed the situation.

Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on In The Weeds and commenting on what happened between Fatu and the nonprofit organization Jake’s Network of Hope, Bauer said:

“We’re watching it very carefully and we take it very seriously. Fatu books himself on third-party shows, we have no involvement with that, but it is something we’ve had meetings on and we’re watching carefully and we’re continuing to monitor it and learn more about it.”

Bauer also noted that MLW works with charities in private, so a situation like this is “something we genuinely watch.”

Fatu is still scheduled to compete at MLW Never Say Never on July 8 against Calvin Tankman.
