WB Discovery reaches TV, streaming deal with A24 for future films including ‘The Iron Claw’

An article from Variety reported that Warner Bros. Discovery has signed a multiyear U.S. output deal with A24 that brings its films to HBO, Max, and Cinemax after their theatrical runs.

The new agreement comes after the deal made between A24 and Paramount Global’s Showtime expired, originally signed in 2019.

The deal was also extended to include a licensing agreement for A24’s library of movies, bringing the collection to HBO and Max over the course of the agreement.

Among the films that fall under the new deal is the biopic The Iron Claw, a Sean Durkin film starring Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White about the life of the Von Erich family.

The film, which also features current AEW World Champion MJF, Chavo Guerrero, and Ryan Nemeth among the cast, is set to release in theaters on December 22, 2023 in the United States and Feburary 9, 2024 in the United Kingdom.
