The UFC has opted to change the date of their March 2010 PPV, held in Newark, NJ. Instead of the original date of March 13, it looks like it will be Saturday, March 27, 2010… the night before Wrestlemania 26. The problem for the WWE is that this move could have some viewers buying the UFC PPV instead of Wrestlemania 26, which will lead to a lower buyrate. Another problem for the WWE for the March 27 PPV is that George St. Pierres is set to main event that PPV and he’s always drawn very high numbers for the UFC.
On a similar note, the UFC is going to air a Monday night Fight Night Live on SpikeTV on January 11, 2010 which will go head-to-head with Raw. This UFC event would come one week after the WWE/TNA head to head battle on January 4.
