Official teaser trailer for Sabu documentary released

The official teaser trailer for a new documentary on the late Sabu has been released. The documentary is produced by WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam.

Below is a description of the documentary and the trailer. There is no official release date for the documentary, as it only says ‘coming soon’ at the very end.

“SABU” is an intimate documentary that follows the enigmatic career of professional wrestler Sabu as he seeks closure in his storied life—a final match. From his tumultuous upbringing under the influence of The Sheik to the electrifying days of ECW, Sabu reflects on his evolution as a performer and the extreme style that defined his legacy. The film captures the highs and lows of his journey, including personal challenges, injuries, and the emotional turmoil that shaped him both inside and outside the ring.

Sabu (real name Terrence Brunk), passed away on May 11 at age 60, just less than a month his retirement match at GCW’s sponsored Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 at the Palms in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week.

Janela later claimed in an interview with Uncrowned, the brutal hardcore match nearly didn’t happen due to the Sabu’s physical condition the day of the match and that Sabu was given a supplement known as kratom in order to help him walk.
