NJPW held a press conference, announcing the signing of 2020 Judo Olympic Gold Medalist Aaron Wolf.
NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi said during the announcement that Wolf will have his first match with the promotion at the Wrestle Kingdom on January 4, 2026 at the Tokyo Dome.
Wolf, who started his training last month noted during the press conference that he had just came from his last judo tournament and that as a college student he said he always looked forward to seeing NJPW’s World Pro-Wrestling and how “cool and aspirational these figures were.” He then said that NJPW could be “a new way to express himself.”
