Legendary star comes out of retirement, wrestles Joey Janela at Wrestlecade

Five years after retiring at the 2020 New Japan Pro Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom event, Jushin Liger came out of retirement for a match on Saturday night at the Wrestlecade Superhow, held at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The legendary 61-year old Liger was the surprise opponent for Joey Janela after he issued an open challenge. It is said on social media the match lasted about four-minutes, with Liger going over.

Liger, who made appearance in WWE in 1990, 2015, 2020-2021 and also is best known for his time in WCW between 1991–1992 and 1995–1999, was inducted into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame.
