The following are new updates concerning AAA’s upcoming “Lucha Underground” TV show on the El Rey Network according to a report by Mike Johnson:
* Talents offered contracts have until tomorrow (9/2) to sign with Lucha Underground or the contracts will be rescinded so that production has everything settled prior to their first TV tapings this weekend in Los Angeles.
* Talents offered contracts still have concern over the details of the contract, which was part of a report last week.
* Talent offered contracts, but have yet to sign as of this writing include Hernandez, Chavo Guerrero, John Morrison, Joey Ryan, Candice LeRae, Ricochet, Matt Cross, Scorpio Sky, Ivelisse Velez and Rocky Romero.
* The Young Bucks are said to have been offered contracts by Lucha Underground, but turned down the offer.
* Former WWE writer Chris DeJoseph is involved with production of Lucha Underground.
* TV tapings scheduled for Lucha Underground on El Rey Network will take place at Boyle Heights in Los Angeles, California on the following dates: 9/6, 9/7, 9/13, 9/14, 9/27, 9/28, 10/4, 10/5, 10/18, 10/19, 10/25, 10/26.
* Initial press releases of Lucha Underground had touted that there would be “monthly & quarterly specials”, live PPVs and merchandise. Recent press releases have not indicated as such.
