AAA “Lucha Libre World Cup” iPPV Results

Tonight stars from literally all over the world converge on Mexico City representing some of the biggest wrestling companies in the world (including AAA, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH) with young stars, veterans, legends, and future legends competing for the first ever “Lucha Libre World Cup” presented by AAA and Victoria Cerveza.
Tonight’s ring announcer comes down and introduces AAA owner Maricela Pena and botht he English and Spanish announcers are shown. The audio is not very good, I was streaming the show through my laptop onto my TV and I have a big surround sound setup and still ended up hooking up my headphones to the laptop to hear it. At the beginning they played both the Spanish and English commentaries at the same time so it was very annoying but was fixed eventually.
All of the teams were introduced to the crowd, the Dream Team got the huge ovation you would expect. Both Japan teams and both USA teams were introduced together, and all of the Mexican representatives were introduced together. Rey Misterio Jr. is wearing his throwback gear from his old days. His team are also wearing matching Mexican Flag styled gear to add a nice touch.
The Lucha Commission president, El Fantasma, is introduced and he welcomes everyone to the first ever Lucha World Cup. Matt Striker actually addressed the feed issues thus far with sound and other issues and said that it is being worked on. A video package is introduced to hype up the history of Lucha Libre and this tournament. My stream cut out me and when it returned I see the Villano brothers in the ring with Dos Caras and a man in a military outfit doing the Mexican national anthem.
They are using the four sided ring for this event. The judges for tonight: Dos Caras, El Fantasma, El Canek, Arturo Rivera, Villano IV, Villano V, Cien Caras, Mascara Ano 2000, & Universo 2000 are introduced to the crowd. They are really making this feel like a special event, even if they are having the technical difficulties.
As the first match is being introduced my audio went out completely, but returned just as the Dream Team was coming out.
Lucha World Cup Quarterfinals
The Dream TeAAAm (Rey Misterio Jr., Alberto el Patron, & Myzteziz) vs. Team NOAH (Taiji Ishimori, Atsushi Kotoge, & Yoshihiro Takayama)
Taiji Ishimori has worked for AAA many times in the past so this isn’t something new for him. I don’t know of Kotoge or Takayama working in Mexico much but I’m pretty sure Takayama has in the past. The ovation The Dream Team received was pretty special and about what you would expect. To be there live that must have been something special for those fans. Rey Misterio Jr. and Alberto are on a different level than anyone else in Mexico at this point, it’s pretty crazy. It is cool to see Rey wearing his old style of gear if nothing more than just nostalgia reasons. Remember, 15 minute time limit for these matches but there will be an overtime if it goes to a draw. Rey will start things off with Ishimori, this should be fun! They lockup and Ishimori forces Rey into the corner but they break clean until Ishimori shoves Rey. They lockup again and this time Ishimori gets Rey in a waistlock but Rey counters into an arm wringer and then sweeps the legs of Ishimori. They exchange sweeps and nearfalls and Ishimori immediately tags in Kotoge so Rey tags in Myzteziz. They lockup and exchange takedowns and armlocks. Myzteziz sweeps the legs of Kotoge and puts him in a Legbar. Kotoge reaches the ropes and then Myzteziz takes him down again and puts him in a Mexican Death Lock. Kotoge counters into a rollup for a nearfall but Myzteziz counters into a Mexican Surfboard! Myzteziz transitions into a pin for another nearfall. Myzteziz showing off his mat skills early on. Alberto tags in now as does Takayama, both of these men have a lot of MMA experience. They lockup and Alberto gets a side headlock on but Takayama shrugs him off and they run into each other with shoulder blocks. They exchange more shoulder blocks but neither man goes down and then begin slapping the piss out of each other! Takayama catches Alberto with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex for a quick nearfall but Alberto answers with a Step-Up Enziguri for a nearfall of his own. Alberto tosses Ishimori to the floor as he tries to interfere and then catches Kotoge with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker. Alberot whips him into the ropes and hits another Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker followed up by an Enziguri. Rey tags in and hits Ishimori with a Sliding Dropkick to the balls! Rey catches Ishimori with a Spinning Headscissors and then goes for the 619 but Takayama catches Rey in mid-move on the floor and tosses him into the ring post! Takayama tosses Rey into the ring post again and then rolls him back in the ring. Takayama tags in and stands on Rey for a nonchalant nearfall. Takayama hits a Yakuza Kick to Rey in the corner and tags Ishimori back into the match. Ishimori hits a crazy Facebuster and then Kotoge comes in and hits a Shining Wizard on Rey. Ishimori gets a nearfall and tags Kotoge into the match. Kotoge charges at Rey but Rey dropkicks him in the knees and reaches for the tag only for Ishimori to run in and cut him off. Kotoge whips Rey into the corner and then hits a Running Lariat to the back of Rey. Ishimori gets another nearfall and then tosses Rey into Takayama’s boot before tagging Ishimori back into the match. Ishimori goes for a Running Powerslam but Rey counters into a Spinning Tornado DDT! Rey tags Myzteziz into the match and he hits a series of kicks on Ishimori and then a Back Handspring Elbow! Myzteziz hits a Leaping Enziguri from the apron on Ishimori and then dives off the top with a Flying Cross Body! Myzteziz then hits a Press Slam Gutbuster for a nearfall before Takayma breaks it up! Alberot hits the Lung Blower on Takayama but Kotoge hits a Reverse DDT on Alberto! Rey hits a Flying Senton on Kotoge and Ishimori hits a Missile Dropkick on Rey! Myzteziz and Ishimori exchange chops and slaps. Myzteziz catches Ishimori with a hurricanrana and then a sliding dropkick to the knee! Myzteziz catches Ishimori with a La Magistral Cradle but Kotoge breaks it up. Takayama tosses Myzteziz across the ring and then Kotoge/Ishimori hit an Un-Prettier/450 Splash combo! 1…2…NO Alberto breaks it up! Rey and Alberto clothesline Takayama and Kotoge to the floor. Rey dives off the apron onto Kotoge and then Alberto Superkicks the hell out of Takayama! Back in the ring Myzteziz catches Ishimori in the La Mistica for the win!

Team ROH/Underground (ACH, Moose, & Brian Cage) vs. Team AAA (El Hijo del Fantasma, Psycho Clown, & Texano Jr.)
Brian Cage is a member of Lucha Underground and has began working with AAA as well, feuding with Alberto. Hijo del Fantasma also works in Lucha Underground as King Cuerno along with Texano as well. Team AAA are also wearing matching Mexican colors like the Dream Team were. Pro Wrestling NOAH’s referee is handling the duties in this match. Texano and ACH will start this thing off. ACH taunts Texano mercilessly and then sucker punches him and rolls under a clothesline and hits a dropkick. Moose comes in and dropkicks Texano for ACH to get a nearfall. Psycho tags in and freaks ACH out as he has a fear of clowns. Moose comes into the match and thse two monsters square off with some nasty chops and forearms! Moose and Psycho exchange clotheslines and then ACH comes in with a Flying Knee but Psycho moves and he hits Moose! Psycho whips ACH with a belt but eats a clothesline from Cage. Cage hits an F-5 and then Hijo del Fantasma comes in to square off against his fellow Lucha Underground member. They do a pose off and then Cage shoves Fantsama and then shrugs off a Spinning Headscissors attempt. Cage goes for a suplex but Fantasma blocks it and goes for a Cross Body, but Cage catches him in midair and taunts him by doing curls with Fantasma’s body before just tossing him aside. Cage wastes time taunting and eats a Running Dropkick from Fantasma and then he hits a Spinning DDT following by a Running Knee. ACH and Moose come in and take out Team AAA as Vampiro says “I had been waiting for them to go ghetto.” I have no words. Cage and Moose toss Psycho to the floor and then they attempt a Double Clothesline on Texano but he ducks. Psycho pulls Moose to the floor and pulls his nuts into the ring post. Psycho hangs Cage up in the ropes and Texano drops Fantasma down on top of Cage! ACH dives off the top but Team AAA catches him and drops him. Psycho hits a huge Psycho Bomb and then Fantasma and Texano dive off the top with Double Diving Headbutts! Psycho then hits a Diving Headbutt off the top to the nuts of ACH! Texano gets a nearfall before Cage breaks it up. Moose clears the ring and then charges at Psycho but Psycho sends Moose to the apron and dropkicks him to the floor. ACH gets back in the ring and then Psycho hangs him up in the corner and hits a Hanging Lung Blower! 1…2…NO ACH kicks out! Psycho goes to the apron and slaps ACH before climbing up top and hitting a Plancha off the top onto Moose! Fantasma gets on the apron but eats an Enziguri from ACH! ACH then hits an Aerostar style Springboard Somersault Plancha off the middle rope! Fantasma hits the Arrow From The Depths of Hell through the ropes onto ACH! Cage hits a Diving Moonsault off the top onto everyone! All of the guys start brawling towards the ramp and Moose dives off the stage onto everyone! Moose rolls Texano into the ring and goes for a Lariat but Texano ducks and attempts a German Suplex. Moose blocks it and hits a back elbow but then eats a dropkick from Texano. Texano hits the ropes and eats a Bicycle Kick from Moose! Moose hits a European Uppercut and then misses a Lariat again only to eat a nasty German Suplex from Texano! Moose comes right back with a Lariat off the ropes! ACH hits a 450 on Texano and Fantasma hits a Frog Splash on Moose with simultaneous nearfalls! ACH and Fantsama exchange strikes and they double clothesline each other. Cage crabs Fantasma and attempts a Powerbomb but Fantasma blocks it only to eat a F5 instead! Psycho dives off the top with a Flying Cross Body and then a clothesline. Psycho hits the Mexican Destroyer on Cage! 1…2…NO Cage kicks out! Texano hits a Superkick on Cage but Cage answers with a Spinning Clothesline! 1…2…NO the clock expires! Cage immediately Powerbombs Texano and then hits a Sitout Powerbomb! The time has run out but the referee makes the count and declares Team ROH/Underground the winner! The fans are pissed with the controversy but the call stands. The referee changes his mind and says it is a tie instead and Konnan brings back out Team ROH/Underground for the Overtime period.
It will be Cage vs. Texano in sudden death. Texano hits Cage with a Superkick and then hits a DVD/Neckbreaker. Texano goes for a Hurricanrana but Cage counters into a Powerbomb and then he Powerbombs Texano into the corner and hits a Tornado Clothesline for the pin!
Winners: Team ROH/Underground via pinfall (Tornado Clothesline)
I think the whole thing there was that the referee accidentally counted a kickout at the end so Konnan came back out to book things right there on the fly and not have the fans piss all over it. Good decision on his (or whoever it was) part.

Team AJPW (Kenzo Suzuki, Tiger Mask III, & Masamune) vs. Team MexLeyendas (Dr. Wagner Jr., Blue Demon Jr., & Solar I)
Kenzo spent more than a year in AAA a few years ago and Tiger Mask III worked in Mexico for about two years with both UWA and AAA back in the 90’s. Solar hasn’t work in AAA since 1995 when he was working as El Mariachi. The amounts of submission holds that are about to be shown here is pretty immense. Masamune and the legendary Solar will start this one off. Solar and Masamune exchange headlocks and waistlocks and then Solar catches Masamune with an armdrag. Masamune trips Solar and then stands on the back of Solar before kicking him to show some disrespect to the legend. Masamune lays across the top rope to taunt Solar and then Solar trips Masamune and puts him in a Mexican Death Lock and then rolls him over into a modified Octopus! Kenzo and Tiger run in and break it up. They lockup now and Solar takes Masamune over with a Hip Toss and then takes him over with a Flying Armbar and then he lets Masamune up and hits the ropes before taking Masamune down with a shoulder block. They botch a sequence so Solar just decides to lift Masamune up and slam the hell out of him. Tiger Mask tags in and Wagner tags in as well. They exchange strikes and then lockup and brawl into he corner where Wagner taunts Tiger by slapping him in the face before playing to the crowd. Wagner gets Tiger in a submission hold but Tiger reverses it and then hits a series of kicks to back Wagner in the corner. Tiger hits a series of strikes in the corner capped by a Leaping Knee and then a Running Knee to a downed Wagner !Tiger hits a second Running Knee but as he went for a third one Wagner kicks him in the gut and goes for a Powerbomb. Tiger counters with an armdrag and then hits a hurricanrana for a nearfall. They exchange strikes again and Tiger takes Wagner down with a Drop Toe Hold and locks him in an Ankle Lock. Wagner reverses the hold but Tiger gets back to his feet and they exchange hold again this time with Wagner tying Tiger up like a pretzel until Masamune breaks it up. Kenzo tags in as does Blue Demon. Kenzo slaps the hell out of Demon and then hits the ropes and takes Demon down with a Shoulder Block. Kenzo hits another shoulder block but Demon answers with a Scoop Slam. Demon climbs up top but Tiger kicks him off the top to the floor. Kenzo dives over the top with a Plancha onto Demon on the floor. Tiger and Masamune kick Solar and Wagner to the floor. Tiger hits a Tope Suicida through the ropes and Masamune hits a gorgeous Corkscrew Plancha over the top as well! Masamune holds Demon as Kenzo goes for a strike but Demon ducks and then lays out all the Japanese members. Solar tags in and hits a dropkick on Kenzo and then hits a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker on Masamune! Solar tags Wagner in and he catches Kenzo’s kick attempt with a Dragonscrew Legwhip and then one for Masamune and Tiger as well! Wagner hits the Wagner Driver on Tiger! 1…2…NO Kenzo breaks it up. Solar sends Kenzo to the floor and then he hits a Slingshot Plancha onto Kenzo on the floor! Demon hits a Cross Body on Masamune but he counters it into a Powerslam in midair! 1…2…NO Demon kicks out and comes back with a Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall. Demon Spears Masamune and locks in El Pulpo for the win!

Team TNA/Underground (Matt Hardy, Mr. Anderson, & Johnny Mundo) vs. Team ROTW (Drew Galloway, Angelico, & El Mesais)
Anderson has worked for AAA a few times in the past during TNA and AAA’s previous relationships. This is Hardy’s first appearance in Mexico I believe, other than with WWE. Mundo works for Lucha Underground but is expected to be a regular in AAA as the year progresses. Mesias and Angelico are regulars in both Lucha Underground and AAA while Galloway is a member of the TNA roster. I believe this is his first non WWE appearance in Mexico as well. El Mesias works in Lucha Underground as Mil Muertes, he also worked in TNA as Judas Mesias. Mundo and Angelico start the match off and they exchange some mat wrestling and strikes before stalemating. They do a martial arts scene style sequence that was really fast and damn cool. Mundo pokes Angelico in the eyes and then Matt tags into the match. Hardy beats Angelico down in the corner and then he whips Angelico into the opposite corner and hits a Running Clothesline. Hardy goes for a Running Bulldog but Angelico blocks it and hits a Flying Knee. Galloway tags in and beats Matt down in the corner. Galloway whips Matt into the opposite corner and runs into a boot from Matthew. Hardy climbs up top but Galloway nips up to his feet and crotches Matt on the turnbuckle. Galloway goes for a Superplex but Matt crotches him and hangs him upside down in the corner. Matt then dives goes to stand up on Galloway’s knees but Galloway lifts up and hits a Hanging German Superplex on Matt for a nearfall as he still hung off the corner. Anderson tags into the ropes and the TNA tandem whips Galloway into the corner. Matt drops down on his knees and Anderson dives off his back right into the boots of Galloway! Galloway hits a Running Big Boot on Matt and then Mesias comes in and hits a Double Clothesline on Matt and Anderson. Mesias hits a Flying Clothesline on Anderson and then runs into the boots from Anderson. Anderson hits a Running Clothesline to the back of Mesias and whips him into the corner. Mesias hits a big right to the charging Anderson but then Matt grabs his boot from the outside. Mesias knocks him off the apron and then DDTs Anderson and tags Angelico back in. Angelico hits a Diving Double Foot Stomp to the outstretched arm of Anderson as Mesias held him. Anderson trips Angelico and drags him to the USA corner where Mundo tags in. Anderson catapults Angelico into a Forearm Smash from Mundo and then Mundo hits a Slingshot Elbow Drop as Angelico was laying across the knees of Anderson for a nearfall. Matt tags into the match and hits a series of double clotheslines and elbows on Angelico for another nearfall. Anderson tags back in and the TNA tandem slams Angelico into the corner. Anderson tags Mundo in and then they slam Angelico into the corner again. Angelico fights out of it with kicks but Mundo takes him down and rolls Angelico up for a nearfall. Angelico kicks Mundo away and tags in Galloway! Galloway hits a Running Leg Lariat on Mundo for a nearfall and then Matt grabs him by the hair from the apron and the TNA tandem attempts to Suplex him to the floor, but Mesias stops them and Mundo hits a Russian Leg Sweep. Mundo goes for the Starship Pain but Galloway crotches him and then Angelico dives over the back of Mundo with a Somersault Plancha onto the TNA guys on the floor! Mundo then dives off the top with a 450 Plancha onto Angelico! Mesias hits a Tope Suicida onto Mundo on the floor! Galloway hits a Somersault Plancha onto everyone on the floor! Back in the ring Mundo catches Galloway with a Backslide but Galloway counters into the Future Shock DDT! 1…2…NO Hardy breaks it up! Hardy hits the Twist of Fate! Angelico hits a Leaping Back Kick to Matt but then he walks into the Mic Check from Anderson! Mesias Spears Anderson out of nowhere! Mesias then Spears Hardy as well! Mundo leapfrogs a Spear attempt and then hits a Springboard Enziguri! Mundo rolls Galloway up but only gets a nearfall. Galloway goes for a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker but Mundo counters into a Tornado DDT for another nearfall! The referee’s slow counts are as annoying as ever. Mundo attempts to whip Galloway into the corner but Galloway counters into a German Suplex into the turnbuckles! 1…2…NO Mundo kicks out! Galloway goes for the Future Shock again but Mundo counters into the Russian Leg Sweep and then goes up top and attempts Starship Pain again! Galloway knocks him off the top to the floor and then Galloway rolls Mundo back in the ring but the referee doesn’t even go down for the count as time expires. We go to OT again.
It will be Mundo vs. Galloway in the OT period. Mundo and Galloway slap each other and then exchange punches. Galloway whips Mundo into the ropes and goes for a backdrop, but Mundo kicks him only to eat a Big Boot for a nearfall. Galloway drops Mundo on the top rope and then kicks the hell out of him and follows up with a Lariat attempt but Mundo nails him with a series of Superkicks for a nearfall. Mundo lays into Galloway with a series of forearms and then the Shining Wizard for another nearfall. Mundo goes for Starship Pain again but Galloway rolls him up for another nearfall. Mundo counters the nearfall into a Fujiwara Armbar! Galloway powers up to his feet and goes for a Backdrop. Mundo lands on his feet and they slam into each other with cross bodies. They exchange strikes again and then Galloway lifts Mundo up on his shoulders and climbs up top! Galloway hits a Super Kryptonite Krunch! 1…2…NO Mundo still kicks out! Galloway lifts Mundo back to the top again and climbs up with him yet again. Mundo catches Galloway with a series of elbows knocking him back to the mat and then Mundo hits Starship Pain! 1…2…3!

Rey has changed his gear up, wearing the more baggy tights type of gear he has wore the past decade or so. ACH has talked about how it was always his dream to face Rey Misterio Jr. so this is probably very cool for him. Team ROH/Underground attacks the Dream Team and they begin brawling all around. ACH dives off the apron onto Myzteziz while Moose places Rey on the top rope and then dropkicks him off the top to the floor! Alberto hits Moose from behind but Moose tosses him hard into the guardrail. Cage tosses Alberto into the ring and then hits a Delayed Vertical Suplex for a nearfall. Cage chokes Patron with the ropes and then tags Moose into the match. Alberto ducks a right hand and hits a Lung Blower on the big man! Rey tags into the match but the rudos beat him down in their corner. Cage tags into the match and then he hangs him up in the ropes from the apron and drags him over the top with a Superplex from the apron into the ring! ACH tags into the match and covers Rey for a nearfall. ACH tosses Rey under the ropes stomach first slamming him onto the concrete! Myzteziz comes in but ACH tosses him right back out and then ACH knocks Alberto off the apron. Cage drags Alberto up onto the stage and suplexes him on it! ACH hits a Sliding Dropkick under the ropes to Rey on the floor knocking him into the announce table. ACH drags Rey back in the ring and tosses him back into the rudo corner. Moose tags into the match and whips Rey into the corner. Moose charges right into a boot and then Rey hits a Spinning Headscissors into a Hanging Octopus! Moose counters it into a Sides Slam attempt but Rey counters into a Tornado DDT! Rey tags in Myzteziz who hits a Springboard Hurricanrana on ACH followed by a Superkick! Cage comes in and clotheslines Myzteziz and then he lifts Rey up in the air but Rey blocks it and shoves Cage to the floor! Patron runs back in and hits a Tope Suicida through the ropes onto Cage on the floor! Patron tosses Cage into the ring post and Rey holds ACH as Myzteziz Superkicks him! Patron drags Cage up on the ramp and gives him a receipt by Suplexing him on the stage! Rey and Myzteziz drag ACH up onto the stage as Patron Suplexes Cage again! Patron grabs ACH and Suplexes him on the stage as well! Rey and Myzteziz grab Moose and Double Suplex him on the stage now! Patron grabs a Mexican flag from a fan and waves it in Jarrett’s face which pisses him off. In the ring Myzteziz lifts ACH up in a Wheelbarrow and drops him down into a Facebuster from Rey! Rey gets a nearfall and then Cage comes in and Rey lifts Myztteziz up into the air into a dropkick on Cage! Cage rolls to the floor and Rey hits a Plancha off the apron onto Myzteziz as Cage pulled him into it! Cage then Powerbombs Rey onto the ring post and then ACH uses the ring post to fly around into a Headscissors onto Myzteziz! In the ring Moose and Patron square off and Alberto hits a DDT! Cage and ACH try to interfere but Alberto nocks him to the floor and then Alberto turns around into a Pop-Up Clothesline! Moose lifts Alberto to the top rope and then climbs up with him and attempts a Superplex, but Alberot hangs him up in the turnbuckles and hits a Diving Double Foot Stomp! Alberto then goes for the Destiny Armbar but Moose blocks it allowing Cage and ACH to hit him from behind. The ROH/Underground trio hit a Triple Powerbomb on Alberto but still only gets a nearfall! Cage and ACH whip Alberto into a Spear from Moose! 1…2…NO Rey breaks it up! Cage lifts Rey up but Rey bodyscissors Cage over the top to the floor! Rey then uses his legs to hold open the ropes as Myzteziz hits a Tope Suicida onto ACH & Cage! Rey then hits an Asai Moonsault onto ACH & Cage! Moose slaps Alberto repeatedly in the ring but the taunting hurts him as Alberto hits a Flying Armbar followed by a Superkick and then he locks in the Destiny Armbar! Moose taps!

Lucha World Cup Semifinals
Team MexLeyendas vs. Team TNA/Underground
The match begins with all six men going at it. Team TNA/Underground clears the ring of everyone except Blue Demon and begins triple teaming him in the corner. Anderson works on the arm of Demon and then Matt comes in and continues the work on Demon’s arm. Anderson tags back in and chops on Demon and then whips him into the corner again. Anderson covers Demon and gets a nearfall and then Mundo comes in and puts the knees and boots to Demon. Mundo puts Demon in a Sleeper and then slams him to the mat by his mask as he tries to escape it. Mundo slams Demon into the boot of Anderson and then Anderson lays into Demon with jabs and hooks. Demon comes back with a series of strikes and almost gets a tag but Anderson stops him and knocks his partners off the apron. Matt whips Demon into the corner and charges at him but Demon sidesteps him and then goes for a Scoop Slam. Hardy blocks it and hits a Body Slams of his own before climbing up top and hitting a Diving Moonsault! Matt gets a nearfall but Demon fights back and tags in Wagner. Wagner hits Spears on everyone! Solar tags in and exchanges strikes with Mundo. Solar hits a Tilt-A-Whirl Side Slam on Mundo and then chops everyone. The Leyendas hit Triple Dropkicks on everyone and then Demon and Solar dive through the ropes onto the TNA guys! Wagner then hits a Somersault Plancha off the apron onto Hardy on the floor! Mundo comes back in and lays Solar out. Solar comes back with a Monkey Flip and then he goes for another Tilt-A-Whirl but he drops Mundo and then decides to just put him in a Mexican Surfboard instead! Solar gets a nearfall on Mundo but Mundo gets to his feet and hits the Shining Wizard! Mundo hits Starship Pain on Solar, 1…2…3!

Third Place Match OT
Blue Demon Jr. (Team MexLeyendas) vs. ACH (Team ROH/Underground)
The rules for the Third Place Match is that we will start right off the bat with a 5-Minute Overtime with each team picking a representative. If those two go to a draw then we will repeat the process over again until there is a winner. ACH and Demon will be the men in the first 5 minute period. Demon offers a handshake but ACH kicks him and then puts him in a side headlock. Demon shoves ACH off only to eat a shoulder block. Demon gets back up and goes for a clothesline but ACH ducks and hits a dropkick. ACH follows up with a hurricanrana but then eats a Leaping Mule Kick from Demon. Demon follows up with a Snapmare Takeover and then a Somersault Senton for a nearfall. Demon puts ACH in a Fujiwara Armbar but ACH gets to the ropes to break the submission. Demon and ACH exchange forearms and then Demon takes ACH down and lays into him with right hands. ACH kicks Demon off and rakes the eyeholes of Demon and lights him up with chops. ACH gets a nearfall with a very cocky pinfall attempt and then follows up with a beautiful Standing Moonsault for another nearfall. ACH hits a second Standing Moonsault and again he only gets a nearfall. ACH chokes Demon and then climbs up top and goes for a 450 Splash, but Demon got his knees up and punt kicks ACH followed by a Knee Drop. Demon locks ACH in a crazy submission but ACH counters it into a pinfall attempt for a two count. Demon hits a series of Rolling Snap Suplexes Eddie Guerrero style for another nearfall. Demon puts ACH in a headlock but ACH fights up to his feet and backs him into the corner. ACH sees the clock and immediately hits a Running Forearm followed by a Lariat! ACH climbs up top and hits a 450 Splash but time runs out!

Dr. Wagner Jr. (Team MexLeyendas) vs. Brian Cage (Team ROH/Underground)
Cage goes right after Wagner with a series of clotheslines and shoulder blocks. Cage then hits a Scoop Slam and follows up with a Standing Moonsault much like his partner ACH did. Cage gets a nearfall and then hits a Front Slam and attempts a Moonsault off the middle rope, but Wagner moves and hits a Sliding Dropkick! Wagner follows up with the Dragonscrew Legwhip and then he catches Cage with the La Magistral Cradle for another nearfall! Wagner charges into a knee and then a Superkick from Cage. Cage hits the F5 for the pin!
Winners: Cage via pinfall (F5) to give Team ROH/Underground the Third Place win
Wagner seems to be injured following the match and is taken off on a stretcher. They even put his neck in a brace, and if it is simply just a storyline angle that is pretty lame especially considering the Perro Aguayo Jr. issue is less than three months old.

Rey is wearing a traditional Aztec headdress to the ring. Rey and Matt will start the match, it has been quite awhile since we have seen them in the ring together. They shake hands and then go to lockup but Matt tags Anderson instead which frustrates Rey. Rey and Anderson go to lockup but Anderson tags in Matt right back. It looks like the TNA tandem is messing with Rey’s head. They finally lockup and Matt forces Rey into the corner and shoves him but Rey answers back with a shove of his own knocking Hardy on his ass! They lockup again and Matt gets Rey in a wristlock. Mundo tags into the match and puts Rey in a wristlock as of his own. Mundo whips Rey into the ropes but Rey catches him in a Wheelbarrow Armdrag! Mundo and Rey lockup and Rey catches Mundo in a wristlcok but he eats a boot from Mundo. Anderson tags in and puts the boots to Rey but Rey quickly kicks Anderson in the gut and tags in Myzteziz. Myzteziz hits the ropes and shoulder blocks Anderson and then hits a field goal kick for a nearfall. Anderson tries to tag out but he stops Anderson and tags Patron into the match. Patron mounts Anderson in the corner and rains down right hands on the former TNA World Champion. Alberto hits a Snapmare Takeover followed by a Sliding Dropkick for a nearfall. Alberot puts Anderson in a Legbar and tags Myzteziz into the match as he dives off the top with a Corkscrew Splash for a nearfall. Anderson manages to tag out to Hardy who takes turns with Mundo slamming Myzteziz into the corner. The Americans take turns beating on Myzteziz and then Matt dives off the top with a Flying Axe Handle for a nearfall. Mundo tags in and hits a Double Suplex with Hardy on Myzteziz for another nearfall. Mundo kicks Myzteziz in the balls and then tags Anderson in and holds Myzteziz as Anderson kicks him. Anderson puts Myzteziz in a headlock and then whips him into the corner and charges at him, but Myzteziz moves and Anderson nails the ring post with his shoulder. Alberto tags into the match and hits a series of clotheslines on Anderson followed by a DDT! Alberto follows up wtih a Step-Up Enziguri on Anderson for a nearfall. Patron climbs to the top but Hardy crotches him on the top and then tags into the match. Matt pulls Alberto down and then hits a series of Leg Drops for yet another nearfall. Matt puts Alberto in a headlock but Alberto fights up to his feet and breaks the hold. Alberto hits a shoulder block running over Matt and then reaches out for a tag, but Matt trips him and drags him to the heel corner where Mundo tags back into the match. Mundo hits a series of elbow drops and kicks as we get down to five minutes remaining in the finals. Mundo hits a Hangman’s Neckbreaker on Alberto for another nearfall. Matt tags in and the Americans beat on Alberto in the corner. Matt whips Matt into the corner and then charges into a boot from Alberto. Alberto climbs up top and hits a Tornado DDT! Alberto tags in Rey and Matt tags in Mundo! Rey slides through the legs of Mundo and then hits a series of Sliding Dropkicks for a nearfall. Rey hits a drop toehold sending Mundo into the ropes but Matt cuts him off before he can hit the 619. Matt goes for a Powerbomb on Rey but Rey counters into a hurricanran sending Matt into the ropes! Rey hits a Double 619 and then a Springboard Splash on Mundo! 1…2…NO Anderson breaks it up! Myzteziz clotheslines Anderson over the top while Alberto sets up for a Superplex on Matt up top! It turns into a Tower of Doom spot with everyone! Myzteziz and Anderson clothesline each other and everyone is down now. Mundo gets to his feet and tosses Myzteziz to the floor but then Rey catches him with the Victory Roll! 1…2…NO Mundo breaks it up! Matt hits the Side Effect on Rey as Mundo kicks Alberto the floor! 1…2…NO Rey kicks out! Alberto tosses Mundo to the floor and then hits the Flying Armbar on Matt followed by the Destiny Armbar! Anderson and Mundo both come in to break it up. Mundo hits a wicked Superkick on Myzteziz and Anderson hits a Back Suplex on Alberto! 1…2…NO Myzteziz breaks it up! Myzteziz hits a Michinoku Driver on Anderson! 1…2…NO Mundo breaks it up! Matt tosses Myzteziz to the floor and then he hits the Twist of Fate on Alberto! The time runs out!
Vampiro actually gives Alberto some water at ringside. Myzteziz and Rey do the same with a waterbottle. The man representing the Dream TeaAAAm will be Myzteziz and the man representing Team TNA/Underground will be Anderson. Anderson attacks Myzteziz as he gets in the ring and beats him down on the mat. Anderson hits a sereis of elbows and then covers him for a quick nearfall. Anderson whips Myzteziz into the corner and then he slams him into the top turnbuckle repeatedly. Anderson puts Myzteziz in a side headlock but Myzteziz fights him off with a series of kicks. Myzteziz rolls Anderson up with an inside cradle for a quick nearfall. Myzteziz and Anderson trade nearfalls and then Myzteziz attempts a Sunset Flip and connects it but Anderson was in the ropes to break up the count. Anderson climbs up top and attempts the Kenton Bomb but Myzteziz rolls out of the way and quickly climbs up top himself. Myzteziz hits a Frog Splash! 1…2…NO, Anderson kicks out! Anderson catches Myzteziz with the Mic Check out of nowhere! 1…2…NO Myzteziz kicks out and time expires!
We go to a 2nd OT and this time Matt Hardy will represent TNA/Underground and Alberto will represent the Dream Team. Matt attacks Alberto from behind and whips Alberto into the corner. Matt hits a Running Clothesline followed by a Running Bulldog for a nearfall. Matt whips Alberto into the ropes and puts Alberto in a Sleeper. Alberto breaks the hold and whips Matt into the ropes. Matt goes for a backdrop but Matt kicks him and then hits another clothesline for a nearfall. Matt and Alberto exchange slaps and chops and then Alberto takes Matt down with a series of clotheslines. Alberto hits the Lung Blower for another nearfall! Alberto goes for a Superkick but Matt ducks and hits the Side Effect for a nearfall of his own! Matt hits the Twist of Fate! 1…2…NO Patron kicks out still! Matt goes for another Twist but Alberto counters with the Flying Armbar! Alberto hits the Superkick and then locks in the Destiny Armbar! Matt holds on until time expires!
Rey Misterio Jr. and Johnny Mundo step in the ring and the fans get behind Rey with “yes we can” chants. Anderson distracts Rey from the foor allowing Mundo to hit him from behind and put the boots to him. Mundo whips Rey into the ropes and attempts a clothesline but Rey ducks and then hits a Spinning Headscissors sending Mundo into the ropes! Rey hits the 619 and then dives off the top with the Flying Splash! The crowd explodes! 1…2…NO Mundo kicks out! Rey dropkicks Mundo into the ropes and then he goes for the 619 again but runs right into the Superkick! 1…2…NO Rey kicks out! Mundo hits Moonlight Drive on Rey but again Misterio kicks out a two. Mundo goes for Starship Pain but Rey counters him into a Rollup, but Mundo rolls through and hits a nasty Shining Wizard! 1…2…NO Rey kicks out again! Mundo goes for Starship Pain again but this time Rey rolls out of the way and then hits a shoulder block through the ropes and dives off the top with a Seated Senton followed by a Springboard Cross Body for a nearfall. Mundo goes for a sunset flip but Rey rolls through and hits a huge roundhouse kick! 1…2…NO Mundo kicks out again! Rey leaps to Mundo’s shoulders and attempts a Victory Roll but Mundo counters into a Front Slam! 1…2…NO Rey grabs the ropes but Mundo goes right to Starship Pain! 1…2…NO and Rey still kicks out! Mundo drags Rey up to the top rope and lifts Rey up to his shoulders but Rey counters into a Victory Roll from the top! 1…2…3 and the the roof blows off the building!
