Update on women’s wrestling projects

PWInsider has a report up looking at some possible women’s wrestling projects that could be coming to television soon. Here is a look at three possible projects.

– TNA is said to be continuing with the idea of having a separate Knockouts series. While the initial idea was for this to take place on Spike TV, the new deal does allow TNA to speak with other networks and this could be one way of getting this going. One sign of this possibly happening is the pushing of new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships that are currently being introduced in a new tournament on Impact right now.

– A new version of GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) is being shopped around to various networks. A pilot was taped several months ago in Los Angeles using the old concept with a more modern look and feel for 2009.

– Wrestlicious still doesn’t have a TV deal despite word making the rounds that they were set for syndicated debut this fall. Another set of TV tapings have yet to be scheduled or take place.
