To correct an earlier report, Nick Bockwinkel had a stint put in the right side of his neck, not his heart as reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The surgery, which took place on June 21, was done to open an artery that was blocking blood flow to his brain. Bockwinkel has already made close to a full recovery. It was also recently announced that Bockwinkel’s father Warren Bockwinkel will be inducted into the Lou Thesz/George Tragos Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, IA next year. Bockwinkel was inducted into that Hall of Fame this past July.
