Several legends announced for MLW’s first-ever Battle Riot in July in NYC

MLW issued the following on Monday, announcing the current list of names, including several legends, for their first-ever Battle Riot Match at their July 19th MLW Fusion TV tapings in New York City. The Battle Riot match is a variant on the Royal Rumble, featuring 40 participants and eliminations can occur via pin, submission or over the top rope.

NEW YORK – Three more Battle Riot participants were announced on the latest episode of MLW: FUSION. On July 19th in New York City “Worldwide Desperado” Sami Callihan, Joey Ryan and Jason Cade will look to outlast all others in the first-ever Battle Riot at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY.

The Battle Riot® is the main event of the MLW July 19th card and FUSION TV taping in New York City at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY.

Sami Callihan, who has violently marched through the competition this spring looks to win the Battle Riot and capture the right to a World Title shot anytime, anywhere. More matches and Battle Riot participants will be announced in the coming weeks on MLW: FUSION and MLW.com.

A mash-up of a battle royal, royal rumble and anything goes street fight, the Battle Riot is a super-sized main event which will feature 40 wrestlers with new participants entering the ring every 60 seconds.

There will be surprises! There will be legends! There will be WTF entries! And there will be no disqualifications!

Elimination is by pinfall, submission or by throwing an individual over the top rope.

Anything is possible July 19th in a Battle Riot!

What does the winner get?
