Extreme Rising To Host Canadian Tryout & Seminar

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite is proud to announce a partnership with “The Franchise” Shane Douglas and his upstart Extreme Rising promotion based out of the Northeastern, United States that will offer a unique opportunity for an undiscovered independent talent to potentially get a match and future opportunity with Extreme Rising.

Extreme Rising has taken the wrestling world by storm with what first were “ECW Reunion Shows” and are now a full fledged top tier wrestling organization focusing on helping develop and bring the next generation of stars to the forefront. Based out of Philadelphia, PA Extreme Rising has branched out with shows throughout the Northeast featuring top stars of ECW and a new wave of top independent talent looking to make their mark on the wrestling business.

“The Franchise” expressed that in order to take the next step it needed to scout talent throughout the World to make Extreme Rising not only unique but in order to find that next breakout star “different” then everybody Extreme Rising currently has. With Canada’s rich wrestling history of developing some of the best wrestlers in the World Canada was an obvious choice to look for that star.

With a lot of very talented Canadian wrestlers being located geographically in the middle of nowhere in regards to the wrestling business and its major markets it is an amazing chance for someone to take the next step and make an impression in the wrestling hot bed of Philadelphia. Canadian Wrestling’s Elite has helped host two international tryouts in the past which saw Cam!!kaze get an opportunity with Ring of Honor in 2010 and just recently AJ Sanchez completed a successful trip for AAA in Mexico.

This opportunity isn’t simply an opportunity to get in the ring and show “The Franchise” Shane Douglas your ability and to earn a spot but an opportunity to learn from one of the great wrestling minds and most successful professional wrestlers in the history of the business. Regardless of your experience level and ability to fight for an opportunity the seminar is open to wrestlers of all experience levels as “The Franchise” will also be using a large portion of the time to teach and help improve wrestlers and their current abilities. With vast success in ECW, WCW, and WWE Shane Douglas has been to the top and knows how to get there.

The seminar and tryout takes place over two days with the first portion taking place on Thursday, March 14th. After the end of the first day Shane Douglas will personally select those who he feels stood out and have potential to return the following day on Friday, March 15th with a more competitive environment in play where ultimately one will be potentially selected for future opportunity with Extreme Rising. The selected participant will then enter talks with Shane Douglas and his Extreme Rising partners about performing on a future Extreme Rising event.

Cost to participate in the seminar and tryout is only $50 if paid by March 1st. Any applicants paying after the deadline will be charged $75.

Now Online: PRIME Wrestling TV #174: Dead Wrestling Society vs. Gregory Iron & Zach Gowen

Watch Online Here:

Original Airdate: January 27th, 2013

It’s been over six months since Kirst nearly powerbombed Gregory Iron into retirement, rendering him unconscious, concussed, and nearly even worse off than that. Since then, Kirst has gotten a euphoric high off of reliving the injuries he’s given Greg and countless others, including Greg’s former best friend Hobo Joe, whom Kirst has taken to dressing like to further his sick mental games. Iron & Zach Gowen are fighting for pride, redemption, and championship glory. Fighting for the memories of every tag team and career that the Dead Wrestling Society has destroyed, can Iron & Gowen finally put a stop to DWS’ strangehold over tag team wrestling? Or will Kirst finish what he had started this past summer and end another storied tag team? This war will finally come to an end, with PRIME Champion Johnny Gargano as guest ringside commentator as he prepares for Krimson February 16 on iPPV at “Pressure Rising”.

Last month, with his foot in a walking boot due to a broken bone suffered in a recent match, Facade still limped to the ring to address his fans and promise to make it up to all disappointed followers who couldn’t watch him in action. This caught the ire of Bobby Shields who accused Facade of milking and outright feigning his injury for sympathy. An injury, in Shields’ eyes, that doesn’t compare to his own pain… namely, his haircut. When Facade & the fans balked at the statement, Shields snapped and levied one of the most vicious beatings on Facade in recent memory. This week, Facade is cleared to compete and the two will battle for the TV Title! Who will walk out injured physically, and who will walk out with damaged pride?

In three weeks, Marion Fontaine, Rickey Shane Page & Jeremy Madrox enter six-man tag warfare against M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross & two mystery partners. If the ‘Maniacs win, Vic Travagliante becomes PRIME Commissioner. If Matt Cross wins on behalf of Team LaBar, Vic leaves PRIME forever. But this week the huggable, loveable Bryan Castle has recruited two young partners looking for an opportunity and their work is surely cut out for them. How solidified is this trio as a team? Are they ready for Pressure Rising? We’ll get our answers this week.

PLUS: Exclusive footage of Vic Travagliante visiting one of Justin LaBar’s offices, we’ll hear from The Sons of Michigan, plus its all the latest hot news in the Pressure Rising Control Center!
