Poor attendance for ROH television taping in Toronto

The new Ring of Honor experiment of running television tapings the day after an iPPV event didn’t fare so well for the company last weekend in Toronto. While the Border Wars iPPV event drew a crowd of 1,100 fans, the television tapings the next day only drew a crowd of 300 fans. While it saves ROH money to tape television the day after an iPPV event, the company was forced to move the entire crowd in front of the hard camera and used “tight camera shots in one direction” to hide how empty the building was. The only successful weekend attendance wise so far for ROH running an iPPV and television tapings the next day was in New York during Wrestlemania 29 weekend.
