This is Hot Rod’s very first appearance for ROH. Roddy Piper is a true wrestling legend and Hall of Famer. Don’t miss your chance to meet one of the biggest personalities in wrestling when Roddy Piper joins us in Nashville for a special autograph signing!
– Jay Briscoe has issued a challenge to Adam Cole for this Saturday in Nashville. Briscoe says that he will put his “Real” World Title on the line and Cole can leave his belt at home. Will Cole answer the one-on-one challenge?
– Chris Hero’s first match back in ROH is against Kevin Steen this Saturday and we expect a fantastic contest! Chris Hero has made clear he has his sights set on Adam Cole and the ROH World Championship. His return matches to Ring of Honor will be his chance to prove he is still one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and Hero knows all eyes are on him. A collision with Kevin Steen could derail the comeback before it’s even started or it could be the catalyst that sends Chris Hero barreling straight toward Adam Cole.
– “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin will be in Nashville and one can only assume that he will not be happy.
– JUST SIGNED for this Saturday in Nashville its Mark Briscoe vs. Adam Page one-on-one plus Jay Lethal vs. Caprice Coleman! With C & C Wrestle Factory now split, this starts the singles career of Caprice Coleman in ROH. We also know that Cedric Alexander will be in singles action in Nashville.
– All three members of the group calling themselves “The Decade” will be in Nashville this Saturday. We know the Roderick Strong is facing AJ Styles but as far as we know both Jacobs and Whitmer are not scheduled to compete.
– Speaking of BJ Whitmer, we are still waiting to hear the official status on his health.
– The Barrister R.D. Evans returns to action this Saturday in Nashville and says “The New Streak” will be on the line! Evans, with the confirmation of Veda Scott, claims that he has been touring the world competing against the best in ROH sanctioned matches. Evans says that he remained undefeated while competing in places like Syria, Alaska, Idaho Falls, Russia, and Fire Island. Evans has informed us to stay tuned to YouTube because “the matches will probably end up on there.”
– The 2014 Top Prospect Tournament begins this Saturday and not only were the participants selected based on hard work and skill but there was a strong effort to have a mixture of styles and personalities represented. The tournament includes COREY HOLLIS, RAYMOND ROWE, “THE BENCHMARK” BILL DALY, CHEESEBURGER, ANDREW EVERETT, THE ROMANTIC TOUCH, KONGO, and HANSON. Congratulations to all of the men selected for working hard and earning this very elite opportunity. ROH Talent Scout Prince Nana is especially happy considering he has been supplying the ROH Seminars/Try-Outs with talent from all over the world. Expect Prince Nana to call the action with Kevin Kelly during all of the first round matches.
