Ricochet makes final PWG appearance this past weekend, reportedly heading to WWE

Former NJPW and Lucha Underground star Ricochet made his final appearance for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) at their Mystery Vortex IV show this past weekend in Reseda, California, losing the PWG World Title to Chuck Taylor in a Guerrilla Warfare Match. Afterwards, Ricochet cut a promo with the roster around the ring, thanking everyone and saying goodbye.

It has been reported by multiple wrestling media outlets over the last few weeks that Ricochet is likely headed to WWE in the coming weeks and months. Ricochet had finished up with New Japan back in October and had been successfully granted his release from Lucha Underground after the final episode of their third season aired in November.

Ricochet doesn’t currently have any future independent wrestling appearances scheduled, so this was likely his final independent wrestling match before he heads to WWE.

Other matches on the PWG show saw PWG Tag Champions Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb def. Timothy Thatcher and WALTER, Trent Baretta def. Marty Scrull, Keith Lee def. Zack Sabre Jr., Sammy Guevara def. Rey Fenix, Joey Janela def. Flash Morgan Webster and David Starr def. Fred Yehi where both men made their PWG debut.
