According to a new report from Squared Circle Sirens and other media outlets on the internet Monday, WWE NXT star Kacy Catanzaro has recently given her notice to WWE.
It is being said that after suffering a back injury, Catanzaro has decided to stop wrestling.
Catanzaro received a try-out with WWE in January 2017. It was announced during the 2017 Mae Young Classic that Catanzaro had officially signed a contract with WWE.
On January 18, 2018, WWE officially announced Catanzaro had reported to the WWE Performance Center. She made her in-ring debut during an NXT live event on April 19, 2018 in Sanford, Florida, losing to Reina González.
She continued to make appearances throughout 2018, both at house shows and on NXT television.
At the September 12, 2018 Mae Young Classic, Catanzaro made her television debut with a victory over Reina Gonzalez in the first round match. During the fifth episode of the Mae Young Classic, Catanzaro lost in the second round to Rhea Ripley.
She made her main roster debut at the 2019 Royal Rumble appearing in the Women’s Royal Rumble.
Catanzaro is also an American Ninja Warrior Alumni. She is also currently in a relationship with current WWE Superstar Ricochet.
As of this report Catanzaro has not publicly confirmed the reports about her leaving WWE. However, she did a post on Twitter this past Saturday possibly alluding to the fact she may have indeed left the company.
