TNA Impact Tapings for February 26:
– The Beautiful People defeated Taylor Wilde & Madison Rayne when Rayne turned on Wilde.
– TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc. defeated Lance Hoyt & Jimmy Rave in an “Off the Wagon Challenge” match. Hoyt took the pin so he is gone from TNA.
– The Main Event Mafia come out for an in-ring promo. Sting is asked if he will defend the TNA Title against Kurt Angle at Destination X. Kevin Nash says he is the spokesman for the group and said Jeff Jarrett is just stirring things up. Jarrett comes out and says he can see that Sting doesn’t buy the Mafia’s crap anymore. Jarrett asks Sting about the three i’s – integrity, intensity and insanity and how Angle spit in his face last week. He said he is allowing Angle to get a title shot. Booker T then asked Jarrett why he started a wrestling company with nothing but nobodies and without the Mafia, TNA is nothing.
– They did an angle with Don West turning heel on Mike Tenay. West said TNA had a meeting about his future and his friend Mike didn’t stick up for him. He called Tenay a selfish prick and told him to stick it.
– Alex Shelley retained the TNA X Division Title in a Ladder match over Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin and Consequences Creed. Suicide came out and took the belt away.
– Sojo Bolt & Rhaka Khan defeated TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed.
– Jeff Jarrett calls out the Mafia. Kevin Nash says Sting vs. Angle is not happening. Jarrett asks Angle if he was the real head of the Mafia and said Angle didn’t have the balls a real Godfather has. Angle attacked Jarrett. Mick Foley ran down, but Angle took him out. Sting made the save and signed the contract for the title match with Angle.
