There were said to be lots of people within TNA that disagreed with the decision to cut Petey Williams reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The general opinion of Williams was that he always worked hard, never had a problem, had good matches when put in the position to do so and was considered a nice guy. The line from TNA management is that some of the undercard guys have been around for years and since the company isn’t elevating a whole bunch of them right now then there is nothing left to do with them. Williams, who is 27, had been with the company for five years and was the 2004 Rookie of the Year and a three-time winner of having the best finishing move with the Canadian Destroyer.
