Predictions from the Faculty
TNA Final Resolution 2010
December 5, 2010
Predictions by: WrestleView Columnists and Staff
Written by: Anthony J. Valvo of Wrestleview.com
Introduction
Welcome to the latest edition of “Predictions from the Faculty”. This weekend, we gathered our thoughts for the upcoming TNA Pay-Per-View. This weekend we will provide our selections for TNA’s Final Resolution PPV, and it will be held at Orlando, FL.
The card features nine matches as of the time I typed this piece. More than likely, those are the only matches we will predict.
As for the columnists, Dave Stephens maintained the top spot after tying Josh Boutwell in the Survivor Series Predictions. With four PPVs to go before we start a new season of the WrestleView Predictions, Dean Stephens has little to give. The current Dean is only one win ahead of Professor Boutwell, four wins ahead of Professor Marrero, and five ahead of the author of this article. Will some of the Faculty staff take some risks? Keep on reading to find out.
New to the predictions will be the new hosts of the WrestleView Radio Show “The Velvet Room”. The rest of the Faculty welcomes Clinton Bowman and Nicholas Gray, two loyal listeners to the VIP Network and now since they are part of the team they are now allowed to predict when they would like. Welcome to the Faculty, Professors Bowman and Gray.
In case you are new to reading these predictions, here is the format. Each Pay-Per-View a few of the columnists on WrestleView provide predictions on who they think will win the matches. We accumulate throughout the end of the Faculty’s year (in this case it will be Royal Rumble 2011).
What makes this entirely different to others is that you, the reader, can provide your picks for a spot to have yours posted in an upcoming PPV. All the readers have to do is either leave me a message on Facebook or e-mail at mistervwv@hotmail.com. The winner among the “WrestleView Students” will win an opportunity to post their picks under the “Student of the Week” tab in the predictions standings. We all thank you for your participation.
Before I show the class our selections, here are the rankings as of WWE’s Survivor Series.

Predictions for TNA’s Final Resolution
***NON-TITLE MATCHES***
Falls Count Anywhere
Mickie James vs. Tara
Dave S. – MICKIE JAMES.
Josh B. – MICKIE.
Jose M. – MICKIE JAMES because she can’t lose her first feud in TNA.
Anthony V. – I think MICKIE JAMES wins this because it only makes sense. If she loses, then I think she is lost in the shuffle, like a lot of the Knockouts right now.
Brian C. – How bad was Mickie James performance this past Thursday? I mean really only in TNA will you see performances that suck as bad as hers at least she looked hot and since I haven’t seen a full women’s match since 99 I’ll roll with the hot one, MICKIE JAMES.
Matt O. – JAMES.
Jeff S. – MICKIE JAMES.
Sean H. – MICKIE JAMES.
Enzo M. – I believe Mickie won the last match.. So I think I’m going to go with TARA to win this one and have a rubber match down the line.
Ryan R. – MICKIE JAMES.
Clinton B. – I should care why? We all know we get MOAR BRAWLZ~ My Real Prediction: Same.
Nicholas G. – MICKIE.
CONSENSUS: MICKIE JAMES 10-1 (1 Undecided). Tara may be a good knockout, but Mickie is going to land some “Hardcore Country” on Tara after this match ends.
Tag Team Match to determine the #1 Contenders for the TNA Tag Titles
Ink, Inc. (Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal vs. Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode)
Dave S. – BEER MONEY, INC.
Josh B. – BEER MONEY.
Jose M. – INK INC because Beer Money against Motor City Machine Guns has been done to death and I doubt TNA will go heel vs. heel.
Anthony V. – BEER MONEY takes this match because Ink Inc. won on Impact. I had to put two and two together and it is obvious that Beer Money will get a victory.
Brian C. – Beer $$ need to either start doing something as a team or split up because I feel like Roode can be one he!l of a singles competitor if given the chance, factor that in with how bad Ink Inc is and I’ll take BEER MONEY.
Matt O. – BEER MONEY.
Jeff S. – BEER MONEY.
Sean H. – BEER MONEY.
Enzo M. – This is a tough one… but Ink Inc. won on Impact this week so previous wrestling booking tells BEER MONEY will win on Sunday.
Ryan R. – BEER MONEY.
Clinton B. – BEER MONEY~
Nicholas G. – BEER MONEY.
CONSENSUS: BEER MONEY 11-1. Many in the Faculty choose Beer Money to go over the upstart tag team in TNA.
First Blood Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Rhino
Dave S. – ROB VAN DAM.
Josh B. – RVD.
Jose M. – RVD because he never jobs.
Anthony V. – This needs no reason whatsoever. ROB VAN DAM will make Rhino bleed first.
Brian C. – RVD because Rhino sucks.
Matt O. – RVD.
Jeff S. – RVD.
Sean H. – RVD.
Enzo M. – I would go with ROB VAN DAM.
Ryan R. – RVD.
Clinton B. – WHAT THE F##K? RIC FLAIR ISN’T IN THIS MATCH?! I call for this match to be thrown out~ My Real Prediction: Who gives a flying f**k? RVD and Rhino are both irrelevant. But if I had to pick, I say RVD…he’s probably gonna get high anyways…
Nicholas G. – RVD.
CONSENSUS: ROB VAN DAM 12-0. If one thing is guaranteed in this PPV, Rhino will bleed first. Expect an easy victory for RVD.
Casket Match
Abyss vs. D’Angelo Dinero
Dave S. – ABYSS.
Josh B. – THE POPE.
Jose M. – POPE because he lost at the previous PPV.
Anthony V. – This match is tough to predict. I am going to pick ABYSS because usually in casket matches the larger man wins 95% of the matches (even though Dinero introduced the casket).
Brian C. – The Pope has really been the only thing in TNA worth watching since Angle left, so I’ll pick with my heart instead of my head, please god TNA give your one commodity a win, THE POPE.
Matt O. – ABYSS.
Jeff S. – POPE.
Sean H. – ABYSS.
Enzo M. – I think this has to be the 1st casket match in the history of TNA? I will have to go with DINERO.
Ryan R. – ABYSS.
Clinton B. – THIS N****’S CREW GOT PAID OFF…F##K THIS MATCH. My Real Prediction: F##K THIS MATCH!
Nicholas G. – POPE.
CONSENSUS: D’ANGELO DINERO 6-5 (1 Undecided). The Faculty was pretty uncertain in picking a clear-cut winner in this contest. In the end, it was close. However, expect Abyss to be the one in the casket when the match is over.
Submissions Match
Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe
Dave S. – JEFF JARRETT.
Josh B. – JOE.
Jose M. – SAMOA JOE with assistance from Kurt Angle.
Anthony V. – I think this will either go to SAMOA JOE or it will end in a No Contest. Why? Because I have a feeling that Kurt Angle will do a run-in and take out Jarrett (or Jarrett will run away).
Brian C. – Jarrett has been god awful as of late. I guess I know why everyone hated Jarrett when TNA started and he was a heel. Since Jarrett won the last match I’ll take SAMOA JOE.
Matt O. – JOE.
Jeff S. – SAMOA JOE.
Sean H. – JOE.
Enzo M. – Who knows and who cares? lol (I’m sure a lot of people will think that) I’ll go with SAMOA JOE.
Ryan R. – JOE’S gonna kill you!
Clinton B. – Jeff Jarrett and TNA promote Child Abuse… My Real Prediction: JEFF JARRETT AND TNA PROMOTE CHILD ABUSE…
Nicholas G. – JOE.
CONSENSUS: SAMOA JOE 10-2. Some expect a Kurt Angle run-in and some do expect Jarrett to become victorious. But in the end, Joe will get his revenge on Jarrett and earn a victory according to our predictions.
***CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES***
FOR THE TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Full Metal Mayhem Match
Motor City Machineguns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) (c’s) vs. Generation Me (Max Buck and Jeremy Buck)
Dave S. – MOTOR CITY MACHINEGUNS.
Josh B. – MACHINE GUNS.
Jose M. – GENERATION ME because The Guns vs. Beer Money has been done already and I could see an Ink Inc. feud but at the same time how many times are the Guns going to be Generation Me without the other side winning one?
Anthony V. – As much as I want the Guns to win this, I have to gain ground before it is too late in the standings. Also, I think the Guns have held the titles long enough. I say there will be a change after the match is over. GENERATION ME will be the TNA Tag Champs at Final Resolution, but I kind of hope I am wrong.
Brian C. – I’ll take THE GUNS because they just cannot seem to lose since they won the straps, plus Gen Me just flat out sucks on the mic. This one could steal the show though as both teams are good in the ring and I can really see this one going either way.
Matt O. – MCMG.
Jeff S. – MCMG.
Sean H. – MCMG.
Enzo M. – GENME.
Ryan R. – THE GUNS will win! They are the best tag team in TNA!
Clinton B. – First things first…why do these a$$holes have jobs? The Young Bucks suck and MCMG are just jobbers with props. It’s gonna be nothing but MOVEZ~ DIVEZ~ SPINZ~ AND FLIPZ~ and PINFALLZ~ I predict me eating cheetos and Kenny Omega winning this match with the Final Atomic Buster on Yoshihiko. My Real Prediction: GENERATION ME…they’ve teased this during the summer.
Nicholas G. – GUNS.
CONSENSUS: MOTOR CITY MACHINEGUNS 8-4. Expect many death-defying, fast-paced action from both of these teams. Though some leaned towards the challengers, the majority of the Faculty predict that the Tag Titles will be defended successfully.
FOR THE TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Cookie will be in a shark cage and raised up to the rafters
Robbie E. (c) vs. Jay Lethal
Dave S. – ROBBIE E.
Josh B. – ROBBIE.
Jose M. – JAY LETHAL because The Shore gimmick is just not working.
Anthony V. – Why are they doing this to Lethal? Lethal had a strong feud with Flair and now he is in this match. Even though Cookie will be in the rafters I am sure ROBBIE E. will win using some heel tactic. Please, no more fist bumps.
Brian C. – Is this guy really a champion? What happened to Lethal’s push….. So much for beating Flair. I’ll take ROBBIE to win this one. Btw what’s with this stupid stipulation, eh that’s TNA for ya.
Matt O. – LETHAL.
Jeff S. – ROBBIE E.
Sean H. – LETHAL.
Enzo M. – Please for the love of god Jay Lethal lol ….but knowing TNA …I’m going to pick ROBBIE E.
Ryan R. – I’m going to go with the Zach Ryder look-a-like, ROBBIE E!
Clinton B. – J-Woww sucks Situation off, Snooki gets jealous, Cat fight ensues, Zack Ryder sings his theme song, everyone goes home happy. My Real Prediction: ROBBIE E wins this one.
Nicholas G. – LETHAL.
CONSENSUS: ROBBIE E. 8-4. Though many of us would like to see a title change in this match, the majority had no choice but to stick with Robbie and this ridiculous gimmick (and fist pump) to retain the championship.
FOR THE TNA TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
AJ Styles (c) vs. Douglas Williams
Dave S. – AJ STYLES.
Josh B. – AJ STYLES.
Jose M. – AJ STYLES.
Anthony V. – I think Williams is one of the best wrestlers TNA has right now. But AJ STYLES is, in my opinion, the face of the company. This could be the match of the night if booked well. Williams will make Styles earn this victory.
Brian C. – I was wrong Pope is not the only good thing TNA has they also have AJ Styles…… the problem? They don’t utilize him, he’s been amazing on the mic since joining with Flair and he’s still awesome in the ring yet he’s holding the TV strap. If this guy had the same career in WWE he’d be a top dog in that company but unfortunately he rose to stardom in TNA and in TNA right now unless you’re a WWE has been you don’t sniff the main event scene, anyway my point is don’t take the little dignity the guy has left….. AJ STYLES.
Matt O. – WILLIAMS.
Jeff S. – DOUG WILLIAMS.
Sean H. – STYLES.
Enzo M. – It’s time AJ Styles loses the belt… DOUG WILLIAMS.
Ryan R. – STYLES.
Clinton B. – TEACH ME HOW TO DOUGIE. DOUG WILLIAMS gets the win.
Nicholas G. – AJ.
CONSENSUS: AJ STYLES 8-4. It should be a good match between two solid pound-for-pound competitors. In the end, we expect the champion (Styles) to retain his TV Title.
FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Special Referee will be Mr. Anderson
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Matt Morgan
Dave S. – JEFF HARDY.
Josh B. – JEFF HARDY.
Jose M. – JEFF HARDY.
Anthony V. – This has dusty finish all over it. Mr. Anderson either gets taken out or turns (I think taken out and rookie ref takes over) and JEFF HARDY retains the god-awful looking championship belt.
Brian C. – JEFF HARDY wins this one easily, yes I know Anderson is the ref but I would bet my life that Immortal screws Morgan somehow and Anderson probably will not count the final fall. So we will still be stuck listening to Hardy’s horrible “Anti-Christ” promos for the foreseeable future.
Matt O. – HARDY.
Jeff S. – HARDY.
Sean H. – JEFF HARDY. Mr. Anderson swerve.
Enzo M. – I am going to go out on a limb here and say Anderson turns heel and JEFF HARDY wins.
Ryan R. – MATT MORGAN will win to continue the storyline between these two. I also think that Anderson will be involved in the match somehow even though he’s the ref.
Clinton B. – My Prediction: Everybody Loses. Logic gets thrown out the window, Juan Cena breaks through the crowd, The BDK melts Jeff Hardy’s belt into German Gold, Nexus blows up the arena and Dixie Carter dies with the same expression on her face as she always does. My Real Prediction: JEFF HARDY…TNA’s putting the belt on Morgan would make too much sense
Nicholas G. – HARDY.
CONSENSUS: JEFF HARDY 11-1. Not much to type but to expect another championship defended successfully. The Faculty, in one way or another with the exception of one, will once again go with the champ.
