TNA Champion Jeff Hardy plans to plead guilty

According to an article by The Fayetteville Observer, current TNA Champion Jeff Hardy plans to plead guilty in court next month on drug charges of trafficking in opium, two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police found about 262 doses of Vicodin prescription painkillers, 180 Soma prescription pills, 55 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia after searching Hardy’s home back in September of 2009 when receiving a tip about drug use in the home.

District Attorney Maureen Krueger stated that at Hardy’s last court appearance, his lawyer James Van Camp informed the judge that Hardy intends to plead guilty on January 20.

There is no word if Hardy will end up facing jail time or if he would be offered a deal in exchange for his plea. Hardy, 33, remains the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
