UFC prepares for cable move; TNA stock to rise?

According to an article by MMAJunkie.com, UFC is looking at buying controlling interest of the G4 cable network in a move to possibly prepare for life after Spike TV. UFC officials reportedly met with Comcast executives on Wednesday over the matter. MMAFighting.com is also reporting that UFC’s current TV deal with Spike will come to a close at the end of 2011. and Spike is also said to be preparing for life without UFC as UFC is looking to land an estimated $325 million a year with Spike, up from the current $170 million it currently pays.

The loss of UFC programming on Spike would theoritically place TNA as one of if not the top show on the network based on weekly overall television viewership.
