The live three-hour TNA Impact on January 4 featuring the official TNA debut of Hulk Hogan will also be replayed that same week on Thursday from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on Spike TV. The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online reports that the original idea was for TNA to run a live two-hour show from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET to get the one hour advantage over Raw, but they figured WWE would counter by going to USA and asking for a third hour so they went ahead with a three-hour show instead. WWE has yet to announce a response. The live Impact on January 4 is a one time experiment, but if ratings do well or are significantly higher than what they are doing on Thursday nights then it would likely lead to moving to a live Monday show every week.
