Report on last week’s first live Impact of the summer

Last week’s first live television shoot of the summer for TNA Impact Wrestling on 5/31 was described as a “major confidence boost to everyone” according to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Although TNA has produced live TV before, some different aspects were in play with the show. Keith Mitchell, who runs the production truck as the producer, already had a planned vacation and was not part of the live broadcast. A large percentage of the regular production crew had other commitments and couldn’t get out of it so newcomers were brought in to take their place. A different production truck was also used as Scott Fishman of Spike TV worked as the producer. It should be noted that Fishman had never produced a wrestling show before.
