Report: TNA TV tapings on the road becoming financial burden

According to a new report by Dave Meltzer, TNA making the decision to tape Impact Wrestling on the road is currently costing the company in the range of $600,000 per taping. This decision is said to be a large reason for the current financial issues within the company according to the report with no real increase in television ratings or revenue.

TNA President Dixie Carter had stated in recent interviews that she would have been risking the future of the company taking the show on the road in earlier years. The company has made a long term committment to continue taping on the road as returning to Orlando at Universal Studios (if it comes to that) doesn’t appear to be an option as the former sound stage where they housed Impact has a new tenant.
