Details on TNA production staff threatening to walk off tapings

A second wrestling media source has confirmed an original story by PWInsider regarding TNA production staff being “significantly behind on pay” in a blow up from the recent set of Impact Wrestling and PPV tapings in Orlando last week.

According to the report, TNA President Dixie Carter was forced to write everyone checks for what they were owed or they threatened to walk out. Many if not most of the production crew hadn’t been paid since early March. Panda Energy’s Janice Carter (Dixie’s mother) controls the TNA finances and earmarks a specific amoung of new money (besides revenue) to finance losing periods. With the company taping so much television and PPV in advance, they didn’t have the money at the time and production staff ended up being paid late.
