Former TNA star to make MMA debut, Angle at Bellator 145

Some notes from last night’s Bellator 145 event on Spike TV in St. Louis.

* Former TNA star and current Global Force Wrestling personality Lei’D Tapa (Seini Draughn) was announced as making her MMA debut at the Rizin Fighting Federation New Year’s Eve event facing Gabi Garcia (0-0). That event airs live on Spike TV.

* Kurt Angle was in attendance at Bellator 145 last night in St. Louis and appeared on the live Spike TV broadcast. When asked if he ever planned to make his MMA debut Angle added, “I’m not gonna tease everybody, but there is a possibility. We’ll see, but I’m getting my feet wet here in Bellator and have a good time. I’m gonna sit back for once in my life, relax and watch and eventually I’ll make that decision.” Angle’s stated publicly earlier this year that he had no intentions of agreeing to a new contract with TNA when his current deal expires at the end of the year. He remains advertised for TNA’s UK tour in January 2016.
