According to a report by WPXI in Pittsburgh, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle was arrested in Robinson Township on Saturday morning. The report states that Angle’s girlfriend filed a protection from abuse order against Angle which was served at his home on Saturday morning.
The woman, whose identity has been kept hidden thus far although it was stated she was a TNA wrestler (at this point believed to be Rhaka Khan who Angle had been dating), reported to police that she was at a Starbucks on the internet and claims she saw Angle stalking her. The woman then called 911 and police pulled over Angle in his girlfriend’s car.
According to the criminal complaint, Angle was driving on a suspended license and police found a capped syringe and two vials of Hygetropin, also known as HGH. Angle told the police he had a legal prescription for the drugs. The total charges against Angle include: driving while operating privilege is suspended, prohibited acts-possession, harrassment and prohibited acts. Calls to TNA Wrestling were not returned regarding the incident. At this point, Angle is still scheduled to wrestle at tomorrow night’s Hard Justice PPV in Orlando, FL where he was slated to compete in the main event defending his title Sting and Matt Morgan.
