TNA Impact Wrestling Results
Manchester, England (Manchester Arena)
February 7, 2013
Commentators: Mike Tenay, Taz, & Todd Keneley
Report by: Josh Boutwell of Wrestleview.com

Impact Wrestling opens up tonight from Manchester, England with highlights from last week and then the camera cuts to the arena where Aces & Eights make their way out to the ring being led by the VP and Devon. The VP seems to be the only “patched” member left masked. Devon says a few weeks ago he said Aces & Eights would dominate 2013 and not only are they dominating but they’re kicking the front door in. He says after what they did last week to Kurt Angle he’s sure that each and every one of the TNA fans would love to see that again. He says this is the group that will destroy TNA and then a video package highlighting all the Aces & Eights drama is shown focusing on Bischoff & Brisco’s deception of Angle.

Devon looks at Anderson and says that when he told him that they had a plan, he was “oh so right” and then Devon introduces the newest members of Aces & Eights: Garett Bischoff & Wes Brisco. Garett thanks Devon and then the fans chant “you can’t wrestle” at him. He calls it “complete disrespect” and says to hell with all of the fans because Aces & Eights are his family and that’s where his loyalty lies. Wes says the reason he did this is because of Hulk Hogan. He says that Hogan wouldn’t answer his phone calls for 2 years and then he told him that he had to start at the bottom and work his way up. He acts disgusted at the thought of a Brisco starting at the bottom. Wes says that his father is the man that gave Hogan his first pair of wrestling boots and with Aces & Eights on his back it’s the ticket for him to climb to the top.

Devon says that if he was Kurt Angle he wouldn’t dare thinking about coming back to TNA and it’s fine that Hogan wants to surprise them with a Tables Match because they always have back up and they will always have an “ace under the sleeve.”

In the back Tara and Jesse talk when they run into Brooke Hogan. Tara complains about their accommodations but she calls them petty and selfish. Tara complains about having to face Ms. Tessmacher but Brooke isn’t having any of it and she bans Jesse from ringside. Jesse asks what he’s supposed to do tonight and she tells him that he can get her a coffee.

In the back Austin Aries & Bobby Roode talk backstage. Aries asks Roode if he can feel the momentum they’re gaining right now and says that when they put their egos to the side and work together they’re unstoppable. He says tonight the Tag Team Titles are coming where they belong. Roode says that everyone knows they are superior to everyone else and both are former World Champions. Roode reminds Aries that he’s the longest reigning World Champion ever and Aries reminds him that he’s the one that ended that reign. Roode says that doesn’t matter because they’re going to win tag team gold and it’s about them walking the same path tonight. Aries says that after tonight everyone will follow their lead.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Clips of TNA’s “British Boot Camp” show in the UK are shown. It was sort of a British version of WWE’s “Tough Enough” show but with just 4 wrestlers that are already trained wrestlers (to at least some extint). I believe a Jr. Heavyweight named Rockstar Spudd won it. Highlights of their tryout matches were also shown.

Footage of what Wes & Garett said earlier tonight is shown.

Bruce Prichard and D-Lo Brown talk backstage about what Wes & Garett did. D-Lo says he would have never thought they would do something like this and Bruce talks about how everyone has bent over backwards for Garett despite his dad. Bruce says when Kurt comes back there will be hell to pay.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break Jesse is in the ring and as he tries to talk the fans chant something at him which I think is “quiet.” Jesse says that Brooke has banned him from ringside for Tara’s match tonight but he’s going to give the fans what they all paid for and that’s himself. He tells the fans to get their cameras out because this going to be “one “Pectacular” photo opportunity,” but then James Storm’s music hits and the Cowboy makes his way out to the ring.

Storm says he was sitting in the back listening to Jesse run his “bottle sucker” talking about taking pictures, but he says they don’t care about taking any pictures because they came to drink some beer and watch somebody get beat up. He says Tara saved him from getting the Last Call last week but she isn’t out here tonight so he’s going to oblige the people here by kicking the crap out of Jesse then drinking some beer and while Jesse’s body is one place and his teeth are in another he’s going to pick Jesse up so the people can see him with no teeth in his mouth. Storm says he’s going to call a referee out so while he does that Jesse needs to call his dentist because he’s going to beat the crap out of him.

“Cowboy” James Storm vs. Jesse

Jesse attempts to attack Storm before the bell but Storm tosses him into the corner. Jesse comes back by poking Storm in the eyes and then nails him with a back elbow and then a European Uppercut. Jesse chokes Storm and then rakes his face on the ropes. Jesse chokes Storm on the middle rope and then nails him with a series of back elbows in the corner. Jesse puts Storm in an Abdominal Stretch and then taunts the crowd as he stretches Storm. Jesse lets the hold go and then attempts a Clothesline but Storm kicks his arm away and connects with a Russian Leg Sweep. Storm attempts to whip Jesse into the ropes but Jesse reverses it only to eat a Flying Forearm from Storm! Storm then hits an Atomic Drop followed by the Eye of the Storm! Storm’s nose is bleeding. Storm charges Jesse in the corner but Jesse backdrops him over the top. Storm lands on the apron and nails Jesse with a Leaping Enziguri to the back of the head followed by a Neckbreaker! Storm hits an Alabama Slam (ROLL TIDE!) followed by Closing Time! Storm then sets up for the Last Call and really gets the crowd behind him as he sends Jesse’s teeth into the 5th row! 1…2…3!

Winner: Storm via pinfall (Last Call)

After the match Storm picks up Jesse’s lifeless body and asks him what he just said and then he mockingly says “sorry about my damn luck, Cowboy” and drops him.

They lockup again but this time Chavo gets Roode in a Waistlock but Roode catches him with a back elbow. Roode then whips Chavo into the ropes and attempts a clothesline, but Chavo ducks and then catches Roode with a Spinning Headscissors Takeover! Chavo follows up with a dropkick and Roode retreats to his corner where Aries blind tags himself in. Roode & Aries argue over it but Aries calms Roode down. While that was going on Chavo tagged in the big man and Aries turns around to realize Hernandez is now in the ring. Aries backs off and says he thought Chavo was in. He says it’s all on Bully to make sure that he proves to everyone just how wrong Hulk was about him and that he really is the good guy he says he is. Bully says he “ain’t no good guy” and just because he’s good to his daughter doesn’t make him a good guy. Ray says he didn’t forget what Aces & Eights did to Hogan or Sting or to Brooke on their wedding day. Ray asks Hogan if he knows who he is, and he says, “I’m Bully Ray…I ain’t no good guy…I’m a very bad one…” and then Hogan says for their family’s sake he hopes he knows who Bully really he is. Robbie E screams at Spud to go get his pizza and then he says if Bigger Rob wasn’t holding him back he’d be kicking Spud’s butt.
