Off the heels of this Sunday’s “Bound for Glory” PPV Impact opens up with highlights from BFG in which all four TNA Titles changed hands with Chris Sabin capturing the X-Division Title, Gail Kim winning the Knockouts Title, Bro-Mans shocking everyone by winning the Tag Titles, and AJ Styles finally recapturing the World Heavyweight Championship.

After BFG AJ said “I have your belt, I have the leverage, Dixie…you’re going to pay.” Dixie said that AJ is going to have to defend the belt against Bully Ray tonight.

Inside the arena Dixie Carter comes down to the ring with some new entrance music, sounds like it’s the original just remixed a little. There are a lot of AJ Styles posters and banners in the ring with t-shirts and a huge banner that says “WELCOME BACK AJ STYLES” on it. The boos are raining down on top of Dixie but she says tonight is not about her, it’s about another very important person. She says she may have made “little bitty mistake” recently but she needs to clean that up tonight. She says everything in the ring right now is her way of admitted that and she doesn’t like to focus on the past, just the future. She says that future is a legend in TNA, a man that overcame all the odds at Bound for Glory. A big “we want Hogan” chant starts as Dixie introduces AJ Styles. The chant stopped long enough for them to cheer for AJ’s entrance.

The belt looks good on the Phenomenal One. Dixie says she’s not expecting a thank you or anything as a big “AJ” chant starts up. Dixie says the last six weeks have been all about her motivating AJ to glory because he was in a tremendous slump. She says she’s here to help him and her brilliance has brought him back to the World Title. She says that AJ claimed he would make Dixie pay and she says she’s ready to pay, and they’ll start with a “fancy private dressing room” that’s almost as nice as hers. She pulls out a watch, like the one she gave to Hulk, and she says the one she gave to Hulk was bought used on Craigslist but this one is one of a kind.

Dixie unveils a brand new car near the stage and says she’s ready to pay as AJ looks at the car. AJ smirks and says it sounds like she thinks he’s going to be on Team Dixie. AJ says all those material things have always been a manipulation from Dixie Carter and if she thought this is what he meant by making her pay then she’s going to WISH it were that easy. AJ reminds her that “rednecks” are truck guys so that car wouldn’t work for him anyway. AJ says he’s worked for everything he’s got in this business and the last thing he wants to do is separate himself from the other guys in the back that helped build TNA with special treatment. AJ says all of this could have been avoided months ago but she didn’t believe in AJ and she even bet against him…and she LOST!

Dixie says AJ is just a little upset and she will admit that she may have stepped out of line at BFG. Dixie says that AJ doesn’t even have to do the rematch tonight and they can get on her private jet and they can go somewhere fun and talk about his contract. Dixie says all he has to do is be in agreement that they will move forward and she promises that she will cancel the match tonight.

Aces and Eights music interrupts them and Bully Ray walks down to the ring accompanied by Brooke.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break Bully asks if he really heard Dixie correctly and says that he didn’t travel all the way to “Salt Crap City” just to see his title shot taken away. AJ says Bully will like what he has to say if he would just shut his mouth long enough to hear it. AJ says Bully will get his shot and if Dixie thinks for one second he’s going to get on her private jet and go to “Dixieland” then she’s dumber than everyone thought. AJ says he didn’t come to Salt Lake City to do nothing, he came to defend his belt because that’s what a champion does. AJ says he’s going to beat Bully in this very ring again and there is nothing he can do about it.

Bully says he isn’t fighting Dixie Carter tonight, he’s fighting Bully and the one word that sums up his victory at BFG is “lucky.” Bully says he got lucky and there is no way in hell a “kid like” AJ can beat a man like him. Bully says it was all Earl Hebner’s fault and he actually kicked out but that “old bastard and his two blind eyes” didn’t see it and he kept counting. Bully says he’s tired of talking so tonight he’s going to beat the piss out of AJ and then he’s going to take back his championship and sending AJ home to his ugly wife and three kids. Bully says in the wrestling business AJ is nothing but a boy and Bully is a God and if God was a bully he’d be Bully Ray.

AJ says Bully sounds real concerned about his family when Bully should worry about his own, all three of the Aces and Eights members they have left. AJ says they couldn’t help him at BFG and they’re not going to help him tonight. He says he’s going to beat Bully tonight and when he’s done he’s going to celebrate with the fans again and he’s going to say, “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I AM THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION… THE PHENOMENAL AJ STYLES!”

Bully sucker punches AJ in the gut as he holds the belt up in the air and then he hits AJ with one of the portraits of AJ in the ring. Bully continues to beat on AJ with the stand that was holding the portrait. He clears the table of all of the AJ merchandise and then goes to Powerbomb AJ through it but the lights go out in the arena! As they come back on Mr. Anderson’s music hits and Anderson appears on the stage!

Anderson hits the ring and goes after Bully as Bully freaks the hell out! Bully and Anderson exchange punches with Anderson getting the better of Bully! Bully retreats as he looks shocked that Anderson is back.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break Anderson is still in the ring and he says he really missed this place. He asks if the fans missed him too and then he says the person he really missed was Bully Ray. He asks if everyone thinks Bully missed him and then he rotates his neck all around and says his neck feels fine now. He says he’s been sitting at home the last couple of months watching what Bully’s been doing week after week, and it looks like the rest of the boys in the back are getting sick and tired of it and the people at home are definitely sick and tired of it. Anderson asks if everyone is sick and tired of it as a “yes” chant breaks out.

Dixie walks out with security and says Anderson is not authorized to be in her ring and then tells security to handcuff Anderson and get him out of the ring. Anderson laughs and asks if Dixie is into handcuffs. Anderson says he hasn’t been arrested in awhile and then attacks security! Anderson finally gives in and security handcuffs him and drags him out.

Footage of the Knockouts Title match is shown with Lei’D Tapa getting involved. Backstage after BFG Gail says she’ll take any challenges because no one can deal with this team.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

This is the first time they’ve used the traditional entrance ramp in awhile. It may have something to do with the set up of the arena, I’m not sure.

Non-Title Match
Brooke Tessmacher & Gail Kim w/Lei’D Tapa vs. Velvet Sky & ODB

ODB drags Brooke into the ring as Brooke and Gail argue over who will start the match. ODB hits Brooke with a shoulder block and then whips her into the corner. ODB hits the Bronco Buster and then rubs her crotch in Brooke’s face, classy. Brooke rolls out of the ring so ODB starts pulling Gail’s hair until Brooke pulls ODB out of the ring and ODB lands HARD on the floor. Brooke puts the boots to her and then slams her head into the floor before rolling her back into the ring. Brooke tags Gail in and Gail stomps on ODB. Gail slams ODB into the corner and tags Brooke back into the match. Broke chokes ODB in the ropes and then she stomps on some more before cannonballing down across her back. Brooke hits a series of elbows and then she mounts ODB in the corner. Brooke goes for her Falling Facebuster, but ODB shoves her clear across the ring. ODB rolls over to Velvet and gets the hot tag as Brooke tags in Gail. Velvet hits a series of clotheslines on Gail and then whips her into the ropes and connects with a Spinning Headscissors Takeover! Velvet hits a head kick and then a Leaping Neckbreaker! 1…2…NO Brooke breaks it up! ODB Spears Brooke and they brawl to the outside. Gail grabs a chair and tries to bring it in the ring but the referee stops her. Behind the referee’s back Tapa hits Velvet with a Big Boot and then Gail covers Velvet for the pin.

Winners: Gail & Brooke via pinfall (Big Boot)

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

In the back Bro-Mans are still celebrating their title win backstage. Those are some weird dudes.

The lights go out in the arena and we see the Impact debut of EC3. Christy Hemme botched is introduction twice.

Ethan Carter III vs. Dewey Barnes

Supposedly EC3’s opponent is from Muscle Shoals, Alabama but I’ve never heard of him. He’s just another jobber like the guy that EC3 faced at BFG. Tenay says he’s another “handpicked opponent” by Dixie Carter for her nephew. Taz says Barnes is “so white he’s transparent.” Barnes tries to get the crowd behind him but EC3 quickly takes him down hard with a waistlock slam. EC3 goes for another waistlock but Barnes reverses it. They reverse each other over and over until EC3 backs Barnes into a corner and destroys him with a back elbow. Barnes then hits a series of rights and lefts before stomping him down in the corner. EC3 slams him into the turnbuckles and lights him up with chops. EC3 Hip Tosses Barnes across the ring and then hits a Mafia Kick to Barnes sending him into the turnbuckles. EC3 picks Barnes up but Barnes shoves him away and hits a series of jabs. Barnes then ducks a clothesline and hits a Flying Forearm! Barnes climbs up top and dives off with a Missile Dropkick but couldn’t even get a one count. Barnes answers back with his Headlock Driver for the pin.

Winner: EC3 via pinfall (Headlock Driver)

After the match EC3 says that he’s a Carter and the world needs them.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Footage of the Sting-Magnus match is shown. Sting says he hopes that match will help Magnus take off, and then Magnus and Sting are shown backstage earlier today. Magnus says he didn’t show Sting enough respect after the match when he just brushed Sting off. Sting says he’s not worried about that and says he’s still wandering whether he passed the torch or lit a fire under Magnus. Magnus says it’s Sting’s world and he’s just living in it and then offers a handshake to Sting. Sting accepts and they shake hands.

A clip of Kurt Angle’s Hall of Fame induction is shown where he said that he’s let everyone down recently and that he is declining the induction for now until he wins back the worthiness that he’s lost recently. Clips of his show stealing match with Roode are also shown.

Kurt Angle comes down to the ring as Tenay says that Angle tore some cartilage in his knee in the stellar match with Roode. A big “Angle” chant starts and he says that last weekend was a tough weekend for him to forget and he had a rollercoaster ride of emotion. He says that when he got in the ring with Sting to accept the Hall of Fame induction he couldn’t accept it because he has so much more to prove, but when that time comes he will rightfully take his place in the HOF. Angle says the match with Roode was one of the most physical matches he’s ever had and it definitely took a toll on his body. He says that he knocked himself out but before he can say anything else Roode’s music interrupts him.

Bobby Roode walks out and gets in Angle’s face. Angle doesn’t flinch and Roode says that it’s pathetic to listen to Angle’s excuses. Roode says the real reason that Angle declined the HOF induction was because he knew deep down inside he knew that he couldn’t beat Roode that night. Roode says that was a wise choice too because he beat Angle fair and square in the middle of the ring. He says that for two long years he lived with the feeling of failure because of his loss to Angle at BFG ’11. He says he lived with that feeling in his gut for two years and now it’s Angle’s turn to live with that feeling of failure. He says the “IT Factor” finally defeated the Olympic gold medalist.

Angle says that Bobby may be “one bad S.O.B.” but he isn’t better than Angle and he won’t make any excuses but instead he’s here to challenge Roode to a match right now! Roode asks Angle if he really wants to wrestle him right now and then takes his jacket off! Roode says he wants to…but he can’t. Roode says, better yet, Angle can’t and then shoves a piece of paper to Angle. Roode talks about the torn cartilage in Angle’s knee and says he isn’t cleared to wrestle. Roode says as much as he’d love to kick Angle’s ass again he just simply isn’t allowed to.

Angle says he doesn’t know where Roode got that paper but he’s right he isn’t cleared to wrestle. Angle says he doesn’t need clearance to fight and then punches Roode in the face! Angel jumps on top of Roode but security quickly runs out and separates the two.

Bully flips out backstage with the rest of A&8 and says Anderson came back for revenge and he says that Anderson has always been selfish. Ray says he needs A&8 to go to the jail to make sure that Anderson doesn’t get out tonight and come back. Ray says while they do that he is going to compose his will on that “little redneck.” He tells them to get the job done.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Dixie Carter bitches to someone on the phone about a contract.

Bro-Mans come down to the ring for the “Cele-Brotion.” They drink champagne down to the ring and they even have their own DJ in the ring. A big “you suck” is thrown at Bro-Mans as they celebrate their title win. Robbie and his goofy hair shoves salami in his pants and says he’s saving it for later. He says that Sunday was the biggest night in Bro-Man history as a “you can’t wrestle” chant breaks out. Hate to disagree but they showed at BFG they are actually fairly competent in that department. Before he can say anything else the former champions interrupt them.

Gunner starts eating their protein bars and Robbie freaks out. Storm tells “DJ Anus” to get the hell out of his ring and then Storm shoves over his turntables. “D-d-d-d-d-did I studder?” Storm asks “DJ Anus.” Storm pops the cork on Robbie’s champagne and starts chugging it and hands Gunner some more protein bars. Storm says they’re going to take the alcohol and protein bars but Robbie can keep his “little sister’s skinny jeans.” Storm says they’re going to have the shortest Tag Title reign in TNA history too because next week they’re going to kick the hell out of them and get their belts back. Before Storm can say his catchphrase Bad Influence’s music interrupts them.

Kazarian says he doesn’t know what’s going on here but what he’s looking at is “two bros with one brain, a crying cowboy, and a pretend Viking.” Gunner really does look like a ripoff Viking. Kazarian reminds them that Bad Influence is the best tag team in the business and says that they are petitioning for a title shot so they can become the World Tag Team Champions of the World again for the third time and then Kaz looks at Bro-Mans and holds up three fingers as he says, “Bro-Mans, that’s this many…three.”

Daniels says the problem he has is that they have the entirely wrong beverages for a party. He says that beer is for the lower class and you don’t drink champagne unless you’re a poser. He says if you are going to celebrate a gentleman’s victory you do it with a man’s drink, an Appletini. Storm takes the drink away from Daniels and sips it and then tells Gunner to get rid of it for him. Gunner tosses it in Daniels’ face and then all three teams start brawling!

EY and Joseph Park hit the ring as well and it’s a 4-Way! Daniels breaks a bottle over Park’s head! You would think they would have learned by now. Park sees the blood and freaks the hell out going full blown Abyss mode. Bad Influence bails but Park Chokeslams the hell out of Jesse! Park shoves EY away and then chases Bad Influence to the back.

Main Event
TNA World Heavyweight Championship
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (c) vs. Bully Ray w/Brooke Tessmacher

This one gets the boxing style intros until Bully takes the microphone away from JB and does his own introduction. AJ’s ribs are taped up and supposedly he hurt them on that wicked Springboard 450 he attempted to the outside at BFG. AJ punches Bully in the mouth as Bully is still doing his introduction! AJ ramps Bully repeatedly in the corner with shoulder blocks followed by chops. AJ slams Bully’s head into the turnbuckles on each corner! AJ hits a series of forearms and chops and then hits a snapmare takeover. AJ kicks Bully in the back and then whips him into the ropes. AJ leapfrogs Bully and then connects with the Phenomenal Dropkick as Bully bounces off the ropes! AJ goes for a splash in the corner but Bully catches him with an elbow and then connects with a series of jabs, but as he went for the elbow AJ catches him with an Enziguri out of nowhere! AJ rolls Bully up, 1…2…NO Bully kicks out! AJ elbows Bully and then hits the ropes and gets lifted way in the air with a Press Slam! AJ landed kind of awkwardly and sells his ribs as he lies on the mat.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break Bully taunts the crowd as he works on the ribs of AJ. AJ tries fighting back with rights and lefts and then he counters a backdrop with a kick. AJ and Ray then both go for a clothesline at the same time and take each other out. As they both get to their feet Bully puts AJ in a Bear Hug squeezing on the ribs of AJ. AJ boxes the head of Ray repeatedly to break the hold and then he hits the ropes but gets backdropped way up into the lights. Bully goes for an Elbow Drop but AJ rolls out of the way! Both get to their feet and they exchange massive right hands in the center of the ring. Bully chops AJ with a wicked chop and AJ snaps with a clothesline and then a spinning heel kick! AJ charges at Ray in the corner but Ray backdrops him over the top! AJ forearms Ray and then hits the Springboard Flying Forearm! 1…2…NO Bully kicks out! AJ goes for a Fireman’s Carry but AJ sells the legs and can’t lift Bully. Bully hits the Samoan Drop! 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! Bully climbs up top but AJ gets to his feet and punches Ray in the gut! AJ climbs up with Bully and attempts a Frankensteiner but Bully shoves him off! Bully goes for the Diving Senton but AJ rolls out of the way! AJ goes for the Springboard 450 but Ray rolls out of the way! As AJ lands he starts screaming and grabbing his ribs. Bully covers him, 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! Bully lifts AJ up to the top rope and chops him but AJ blocks it. AJ goes for a Tornado DDT but Ray shoves AJ into Hebner! Ray charges at AJ but AJ catches him with the Calf Killa! The referee is laid out in the corner as Bully taps! AJ thinks he’s won but realizes Hebner is still down. Ray grabs the steel chain and hits AJ with it as Hebner starts to get backup! Bully hits the Bully Cutter! 1…2……..NO AJ STILL KICKS OUT! I think Hebner really may have messed his knee up when AJ hit him or he’s selling that thing like a champ. Ray picks the chain back up as Hebner falls down and grabs his knee but Mr. Anderson runs out and gets on the apron! Bully swings at Anderson but he ducks and then nails Ray with a jawbreaker on the top rope! AJ catches Ray with a Crucifix Rollup! 1…2…3!

Winner & STILL World Champ: AJ via pinfall (Crucifix)

Anderson jumps Bully after the match and they brawl all around ringside!

Dixie Carter appears on the big screen and holds up a contract and if AJ wanted her attention he has it now. She says that she is coming to the ring and AJ better not leave.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Dixie Carter comes down to the ring and she says that AJ turned her down earlier tonight and her strategy must have been a little off, but she’s been talking to her attorneys all night long and she has a contract for AJ. Dixie says it is full of everything that AJ could ever want and it has more zeros than AJ has ever seen and then she holds up the keys and says she’s going to give him the car anyway as a signing bonus. Dixie says she wants AJ in TNA and she wants him to sign the contract and they can put everything behind them now and move forward.

AJ looks over the contract and says it’s an amazing contract…by a horrible human being. AJ says she uses people to pad her bank account and buy her own fancy cars and million dollar homes on the blood, sweat, and tears of every man and woman that has ever stepped in her ring. AJ says she didn’t believe in him months ago and now he doesn’t have a contract. AJ then rips it up and wipes his ass with it. AJ says if she thought making her was about money then she is very wrong. He says money can’t fix her problem. He says she doesn’t respect him, the title, or the people so the way he’s going to pay is that he’s taking the title away from her because he’s leaving. AJ says he’s taking the World Title to them and then leaves the ring and then says on second thought and takes the keys to that car from her too and says he’ll take her car too.

AJ leaves the arena and jumps in the car and drives off with the belt.
