Magnus (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Jeremy Borash handled the ring introductions for the champion Magnus and challenger Samoa Joe. The match will consist under “Joe Rules” aka no holds barred where you can only win the match by pinfall, knockout or submission.

The bell rings and here we go. Samoa Joe with a quick kick to the leg of Magnus. Joe with more kicks and Magnus responds with some rights and a headlock takedown. Joe works over the left arm/wrist of Magnus. Joe with headbutts to the wrist of Magnus. Magnus gets another headlock applied on Joe slowing things down. Joe breaks free and catches Magnus with an elbow. Joe with big jabs to and more strikes to Magnus in the corner. Joe with a running boot to the face of Magnus down in the corner. Joe with jabs, atomic drop, big boot and misses a back splash attempt over Magnus when Magnus moves. Magnus mounts Joe and drops some rights. Magnus with chops to Joe in the corner. Joe with more jabs backing Magnus to the corner. Joe misses a shot on Magnus in the corner. Magnus drops a quick elbow to the lower back of Joe. Joe fires back sending Magnus face first into the side of the cage. Joe does this a second time. Joe grabs Magnus’ head and sends it into the cage 10 times as the crowd in Miami chants along. Joe with an elbow and kick to the back of the head on Magnus against the cage. Magnus is now busted open as we see a shot of him smiling. Joe with big right hands to Magnus in the corner over the cut. Joe bites the head of Magnus with the blood on his face.

Joe with a snapmare, chop, kick and knee drop over Magnus. Magnus dodges another charge from Joe and Joe hits the cage with force. Magnus then grabs Joe and sends him face first into the side of the cage. Joe is now busted open. Magnus gets the Figure Four applied on Joe. Joe gets the Figure Four turned over on Magnus. Magnus with a drop toe hold and then gets a Camel Clutch applied on Joe. Joe with a big overhead belly to belly suplex on Magnus. Both men are down as the referee starts the count. Magnus catches Joe with a big boot. Joe with an atomic drop, big boot and back splash combo all connects. Magnus rakes the eyes of Joe. Joe immediately responds with a powerslam. Joe gets an armbar applied on Magnus. Magnus gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the submission. Magnus catches Joe with a flying elbow off the top turnbuckle. Magnus with rights. Joe is firing himself up. Joe with huge open hand slaps to Magnus. Joe puts Magnus up on the top turnbuckle, busts out a huge chop, Magnus is trying to climb out of the cage, Joe is hanging on and crotches Magnus on the top turnbuckle. Joe has Magnus up for the Muscle Buster and connects. Joe picks up Magnus and gets the rear naked choke applied. A hand pops up from the ring and breaks it up.

The arm grabs Samoa Joe and pulls him down under the ring. A lifeless Magnus is rolling around trying to recover. The crowd in Miami starts a loud “BULLSH*T” chant. We can seen an open hole in the ring map as Magnus crawls over to it. Joe starts to crawl out of the hole as Magnus backs up. We can see Joe kicking whoever is below the ring. Joe walks over to Magnus and chokes him lifting him to the top turnbuckle. Abyss then shows up with his board covered in spikes. Abyss hits Joe in the gut with it and tosses it aside. Abyss with a Black Hole Slam on Joe. Magnus looks at Abyss and starts to smile. Abyss nods his head. Magnus picks up a lifeless Joe, applies the rear naked choke, the referee raises the arm of Joe three times and Joe is out. Magnus gets the win.

After the match, we see highlights leading to the finish. Back live, we see Magnus holding up the TNA Championship and celebrating with Abyss.

Backstage, we can see Eric Young yelling at Magnus and Abyss.

Backstage, Dixie Carter is with Rockstar Spud talking with someone. He calls her brilliant and Carter is sending Spud to get her big surprise tonight. Bobby Roode walks in and wants to know what the big secret is tonight. He feels he needs to know as the captain. Carter said certain things are better left unsaid. She wants Roode to trust her. Roode said she doesn’t have the best track record. Carter said she already made this a handicap match tonight keeping Jeff Hardy out of it.
