Sunday night the National Wrestling Alliance held their 73rd Anniversary pay-per-view, which took place at the Khorassan Ballroom at Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, MO.
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair made his return to the NWA on Sunday night.
During the PPV, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair came out and cut a promo, where he said that he loved Vince McMahon. Flair also thanked Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Steve Austin, Randy Orton and others for their support. He also said, “Vince McMahon, I love you. That’s why I’m here.” Flair said the fans kept the NWA alive.
Flair told a story about Harley Race, and talked about everyone he faced at the Chase. He went to say how important it was to have several different brands of wrestling, because not everyone can make it to WWE or AEW, and he loves being here at the NWA. He said then on Thursday he is going to be with Tony Khan, and then will be in the front row watching Chris Jericho. He also gave a shout out to his daughter Charlotte, calling her the queen.
Flair concluded by joking when he said that when Billy Corgan called him, he expected to have a match with Aldis, but Corgan said, “I just need you to talk” and he said, “Well, okay, I can do that.” Flair told the fans he was going to do this for free, but Corgan paid him anyway, and then he thanked the fans and everyone who is a fan of him and treated him fairly.
