WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix announced on Twitter Thursday that she will be stepping away from the NXT commentary team after this Sunday’s WarGames PPV event.
Phoenix noted her reason for stepping away from her weekly NXT commentary duties is to spend more time with her family. She did further note that she will still remain part of WWE.
Phoenix, who is married to WWE Hall of Famer Edge, joined the NXT commentary team in May 2019. She and Edge have two daughters together.
She did thank Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett, Nigel McGuinness, Tom Phillips, Mauro Ranallo, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Michael Cole, and her entire NXT family both in and out of the ring for the amazing opportunity.
As of this report, there is no word on who will replace Phoenix after Sunday.
