Tony Khan says he will be helping out Ring of Honor at their Final Battle PPV on Saturday

Tony to help ROH

UPDATE 6:50 PM ET

Jonathan Gresham will square off against former ROH star Jay Lethal, who recently signed with AEW.

Gresham was originally scheduled to challenge Bandido for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship.

Bandido is unable to appear at the PPV due to a recent positive COVID-19 test.

AEW CEO and President Tony Khan said during an appearance on Busted Open Radio on Friday, that he will be helping out Ring of Honor for their Final Battle pay-per-view, which is this Saturday night.

He said that he will be doing some things to support them in their last show to make it a good show for them. He did not elaborate further, nor was he asked what that meant. However, Khan further noted he’s going to lend some support to ROH, and try and help them out because it’s the right thing to do.

In an unexpected change to the card, ROH World Champion Bandido will not be able to defend the title against Jonathan Gresham due to a positive COVID-19 test.

ROH is going on hiatus in the first quarter of 2022, as they internally reassess what the future of the company will look like, which is said to be mainly non-contracted wrestlers, assuming they return in April.
