Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens reportedly being discussed for WWE WrestleMania 38

As first reported earlier by Fightful Select, and then confirmed by F4WOnline, Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens is being discussed for WrestleMania 38 by WWE.

Austin retired from in-ring competition in 2003 due to a neck injury that was due to a botched piledriver from Owen Hart at SummerSlam 1997. Since his retirement, he has made sporadic appearances on WWE Raw and SmackDown. He currently hosts Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions that airs on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

This year’s WrestleMania takes place on April 2 and 3 in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium. If Austin does make an in-ring return, this would be his first match since WrestleMania 19 in 2003, where he lost to The Rock.
