CM Punk reportedly injured, suffered left torn triceps at All Out PPV

According to a report by F4WOnline, former AEW World Champion CM Punk suffered torn left triceps in his match with Jon Moxley at last Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view.

The report notes that Punk sustained the injury on a tope, but was able to finish the match defeating Moxley to regain the AEW World Championship.

F4WOnline could not confirm if has had or will need to repair the injury. There is no timetable for his return.

Punk is believed to be suspended following the fight that broke out backstage at the All Out media scrum after he called out Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, in addition to Hangman Adam Page and Colt Cabana. It was further noted that regardless of the fight, Punk’s injury necessitated a need for an alternative plan for the World title.

Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson were among those involved in the fight that were suspended pending the outcome of an independent investigation.

At start of Wednesday’s Dynamite, AEW CEO and President Tony Khan did not make any reference the fight, nor mention if anyone was suspended. Khan vacated the World Title and Trios titles. Omega and the Bucks had won the new Trios titles on Sunday. A match between Death Triangle (PAC and Luchas Bros) vs. Best Friends and Orange Cassidy was held on Wednesday to determine new champions. Death Triangle defeated Best Friends and Cassidy to become the new Trios World Champions.
