WWE Hall of Famer suffers a stroke, undergoes surgery

According to a report from Action News 5 out of Memphis, Tennessee, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is recovering after having a stroke at his home in Fort Myers, Florida.

The report also notes Lawler, 73, has underwent surgery and is recovering at a Florida hospital.

Lawler previously suffered a stroke back in 2018, and had a heart attack during a live broadcast of WWE Raw back in 2012.

PWInsider is reporting the story that has made the rounds is that Lawler had been out for lunch with friends on Monday and sometime after that lunch took ill and he was rushed to the hospital.

Lawler last appeared on WWE programming back on January 23 as part of the Monday Night Raw 30th anniversary episode and then was part of the panel for the Royal Rumble Kickoff show on January 28.
