Gunther hits a milestone as the WWE Intercontinental Champion

As of June 10, 2023, Gunther hit a milestone as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. He has now held the title for 365 days.

Gunther defeated Ricochet on the June 10, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown, to win the Championship.

He posted a picture of himself on Twitter smoking a cigar in a robe, with a beverage and a caption of “365.” Gunther, which also has the nickname “The Ring General”, was sent from SmackDown to Raw as part of the 2023 Draft.

Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser will take on the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on this Monday’s WWE Raw.

WWE Hall of Famer Honky Tonk Man still holds the records for the longest reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion at 454 days.
