A report from Fightful Select has indicated potential plans in the works for the return of WarGames.
The report further speculates that the match could invovle the Judgment Day faction, but details are far from confirmed at this stage.
WarGames, a staple of WCW for decades before the company’s closure in 2001, has been something of an inspiration for other match types in WWE such as the Elimination Chamber, but the match itself would finally make its way to WWE courtesy of a series of NXT WarGames events from 2017 to 2021.
Survivor Series 2022 saw the match make its “main roster debut” with a men’s and women’s match, though the report has not indicated whether a women’s WarGames might take place this year as well.
Survivor Series 2023 takes place November 25 from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, airing live on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network internationally.
