WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of Day 1 Raw. We see The Rock returning and hitting Jinder Mahal with the People’s Elbow and The Rock’s comments about sitting at the head of the table.
Live at the arena, we see a black SUV pulling up and out comes Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Kayla stops Roman and asks him about The Rock’s comments on Raw. Roman laughs at her and walks away. Heyman looks at Kayla, smiles and walks away.
In the arena, out comes Kevin Owens the final match of the United States Championship tournament.
Finals of the United States Championship Tournament – Kevin Owens vs. Santos Escobar with Angel and Humberto
Kevin Owens still has his right hand in a cast. The referee is about to ring the bell and out comes the United States Champion, Logan Paul. Logan joins the announce team for the match. The bell rings and we are under way. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro jump the barricade and attack Garza and Humberto. All four men fight to the back. Escobar is distracted, he turns around and Owens hits him with a super kick and a cannonball. Owens climbs the top rope and hits him with a frog splash. He goes for the cover but Escobar kicks out.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Owens is on the top right but Escobar hits him with right hands. Escobar with a kick and Owens falls to the outside of the ring. Escobar slams Kevin’s right hand into the ring post and slams it onto the ring apron. Owens rolls into the ring and Escobar with a leg drop onto Kevin’s hand. Escobar with a back breaker and he gets Owens in the corner. Escobar with a running knee to the face. He runs to the ropes and lands a hurricanrana and Owens falls to the outside of the ring. Escobar to the ropes and lands a suicide dive.
Escobar throws Owens back into the ring and the fans chant “Logan sucks”. Escobar on the ring apron and Owens with a headbutt. Escobar gets on the top rope and Owens climbs the second rope. Escobar hits him with a right hand and Owens falls to his feet. Escobar goes for a double axe but Owens hits him with an atomic drop followed by a spiking DDT. Owens climbs the second rope but Escobar with a right hand. Escobar climbs the second rope but Owens with a right hand. Owens picks Escobar up and slams him onto the mat.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Escobar hangs Owens up onto the top rope. Escobar is on the ring apron and goes for a kick but Owens blocks it with his cast. Owens hits him with a super kick and Escoabar falls to the outside. Owens with a senton off the ring apron. He throws Escobar back into the ring. Owens climbs the top rope and goes for a senton but Escobar gets his knees up. Escobar with a running knee to the face. He places Owens on the top rope and hits him with a hurricanrana. Escobar climbs the top rope and hits him with a frog splash. He goes for the cover but Owens kicks out.
The fans chant “Logan sucks” and Logan stands up and shows them his WWE United States Championship. Back in the ring, Escobar places Owens on the second rope. Escobar climbs the second rope but Owens gets him on his shoulders and hits him with a rolling senton. He goes for the cover but Escobar kicks out. Owens goes for the Stunner but Escobar rolls him up but Owens kicks out. Owens gets up and hits him with a super kick. He goes for the pop up powerbomb but Escobar with a hurricanrana. Escobar runs to the ropes but Owens hits him with a popup power bomb. He hits Escobar with the Stunner. Owens goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Logan Paul grabs a microphone after the match. He congratulates Owens on his win and he tells him he gets to face the greatest United States Champion in history. He says he hasn’t even broken a sweat and he has retained his title for 62 days. Logan gets in the ring and says they all thought that a Canadian could ever have the United States Championship? He tells Owens that him beating Logan for the US title is like the Canucks winning the Stanley Cup and the fans boo him. Logan Paul says it’s never going to happy because he is Logan and as he is talking, Owens hits him with a right hand. Kevin’s music hits as the fans cheer him.
Bobby Lashley’s music hits and out he comes with the Street Profits.
-Commercial Break-
We cut backstage and we see Logan Paul with a pack of ice. In comes Cathy Kelley and she tells him that Owens got a punch in. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller walk in and get her away. In comes Cameron Grimes who laughs at them and Waller pushes him away. WWE officials break it up .
In the ring, Lashley welcomes everyone to New Year’s Revolution. He says 2023 was probably the toughest year for him in WWE. Not because he didn’t put in the work but because the work he put in did not translate into the results he wanted. But the highlight of 2023 was linking up with two of the greatest superstars and the greatest tag team in WWE, the Street Profits.
He says their resolution is simple, they are going to fight for and take everything that they deserve. Ford tells the fans to listen to Bobby and the fans chant “Bobby”. Ford says they are going to take full advantage of every opportunity when it comes to capturing Championship gold.
Dawkins says it has been a while since they held the tag team titles. He tells the Judgment Day they might want to keep their head on a swivel. Lashley says his goal is to get back to being the all mighty and he will do that by declaring himself for the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
The lights go dark and we see a video package of Karrion Kross and Scarlett saying “The end is here”. Out come Karrion Kross and Scarlett with Paul Ellering. The Authors of Pain attack Lashley and the Street Profits from behind. Kross gets in the ring and tells AOP to lift them up. They lift up the Street Profits and hit them with the Super Collider. Kross lifts Lashley up and slams him onto the mat and all three men stand in the ring. They all leave the ring and Karrion Kross, Scarlett, AOP and Paul Ellering all stand on the ramp.
We see clips of AJ Styles getting injured months ago and his return to SmackDown.

WWE Women’s Championship – IYO SKY (c) vs. Michin
The bell rings and we are under way. Michin with a drop kick and a right hand. She runs to the ropes but IYO rolls her up and hits her with a double stomp. She throws Michin to the ropes and IYO runs towards Michin but Michin moves out of the way and IYO falls to the outside. Michin with a suicide dive.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Michin with right hands in the middle of the ring. She lifts IYO up for a powerbomb but IYO land son her feet. IYO runs to the ropes but Michin with a knee to the face. A gun wrench suplex by Michin and IYO is down in the corner. Michin with a cannonball in the corner and she goes for the cover but IYO kicks out. She grabs IYO and hits her with a right hand. A double knees to the face by Michin. She goes for the cover but IYO kicks out. Michin with a half crab but IYO gets to the ropes. IYO on the ring apron. Michin goes for a kick but IYO hands her leg up on the second rope. IYO goes for a forearm but Michin with a right hand. Michin on the ring apron. She goes for a suplex but IYO reverses it into a German suplex onto the ring apron. Michin rolls into the ring. IYO with a drop kick off the top rope. IYO climbs the top rope and goes for a moon sault but Michin gets her knees up. Michin with a dragon suplex. She goes for the cover but IYO kicks out. Michin grabs IYO but IYO with a back drop, she goes to roll Michin up but Michin gets out of it. IYO with a drop kick. IYO climbs the second rope but Michin with a right hand and she falls to the mat. Michin climbs the second rope but IYO with a right hand. IYO climbs the top rope and goes for a hurricanrana but Michin blocks it. Michin with the Styles Clash off the second rope. She goes for the cover but IYO gets her hand on the ropes.
IYO rolls to the outside. Michin runs to the ropes and goes for a suicide dive but IYO moves out of the way and Michin galls on the outside. IYO with a meteora into the barricade. She throws Michin back in the ring and hits her with a meteora. She climbs the top rope and hits her with the Over the Moonsault. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Still WWE Women’s Champion, IYO SKY
IYO celebrates in the middle of the ring.
We cut backstage and Paul Heyman in standing looking at the camera. Kevin Patrick asks Heyman if he has a reaction to The Rock’s comments form Monday. Heyman says The Rock name dropped Roman Reigns because The Rock wants to sit at the head of the table. But to do that, you have to be invited to a dinner of relevancy and The Rock has not been invited nor will he be. Because The Rock is just like everybody else, he is looking for a shortcut to the headlines. There are only two ways in this world to make headlines. The first is to date Taylor Swift and the second is to call out Roman Reigns.
Heyman says Roman wins a match and out comes John Cena. He wins a match and out comes Brock Lesnar. He beats Cody Rhodes and Cody still talks about finishing his story. CM Punk comes back to WWE after 10 years. He welcomes Punk back and Punk says he is the OG Paul Heyman guy and that is true. But he upgraded from best friend to advocate and upgraded from advocate to wise man. And tonight, Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles will fight to get the opportunity to get smashed by Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. And the person will get smashed at the Rumble the same way whoever wins the Royal Rumble will get smashed at WrestleMania. Because there is not one man on this planet that can beat Roman Reigns.

IYO SKY is backstage and in come Damage CTRL. They all celebrate and IYO says her era will never end. Bayley says her plan will never end too and that is the Kabuki Warriors winning the Tag Team Championship. Dakota Kai tells Bayley that Bayley will win the Rumble and become Champion too.
In comes Bianca Belair. She congratulates IYO on her win and tells Bayley that Bayley will not win the Royal Rumble because she is entering the Rumble and is going to KOD her over the top rope. She says she will win the Rumble for a second time and at WrestleMania she will take the title off IYO and her era will end. IYO talks to Dakota and Japanese. Dakota tells Bayley that IYO told her that as leader of Damage CTGRL, she has to put an end to Bianca.
Pretty Deadly vs. Butch and Tyler Bate
Kit and Bate start the match. Bate with a head lock but Kit with a right hand. Bate with an arm bar and he rolls around Kit and rolls him up but Kit kicks out. Bate with a drop kick and Prince is tagged in. Bate with a kick to the face and Butch is tagged in. They double team Prince. Butch with an arm bar but Prince with a right hand. Prince to the ropes and Butch with a clothesline. Kit gets in the ring and Butch twists his fingers and stomps on his arm. Pretty Deadly to the outside. Bate with a suicide dive and Butch with a moon sault off the second rope onto Pretty Deadly.
-Commercial Break-
Back form commercial, Prince with a big boot on Butch in the middle of the ring. Prince grabs Butch but Butch with a suplex. Bate and Kit are tagged in. Bate with right hands onto Kit and Prince. Bate to the ropes and a head scissor take down onto Kit. An elbow to the face onto Prince. Bate with a knee to the face onto Kit followed by an uppercut. Bate throws Prince and hits him with a standing shooting star press. Bate lifts Kit on his shoulders and does the airplane spin. Bate slams him onto the mat and Butch is tagged in. They double team Kit and Butch hits him with a German suplex. He goes for the cover but Prince breaks it up. Butch with a chop to the chest onto Prince and he falls to the outside. Bate jumps onto Prince but Prince with a kick to the face. Prince pushes Butch who is on the top rope onto Kit and Kit hits him with a kick. Kit geos for the cover but Butch kicks out. Bate is tagged in and in comes Prince and Bate knocks him down. Butch and Tyler hit Kit with the Double Tyler Driver 97. Bate goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Butch and Tyler Bate
We see a video of LA Knight’s 2023 and him being the breakthrough star of the year.

Nick Aldis is on the phone and in comes Ashante “Thee” Adonis. He tells Aldis he has been struggling and he doesn’t know what his place is but he doesn’t want Aldis to feel sorry for him. He is hungry and just needs an opportunity. Aldis says he doesn’t feel sorry for him because he has believed in him from the beginning. He tells Adonis he has some ideas he thinks he will be interested in hearing.
Winner faces Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship – Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight
Back from commercial and the match is under way. LA Knight throws AJ face first into the top turnbuckle. He throws AJ to the ropes and hits him with a clothesline to the outside of the ring. Orton clotheslines LA Knight to the outside. Orton grabs LA Knight but LA Knight with a right hand and he slams Orton into the announce table. LA Knight grabs AJ Styles and slams him into the announce table and he looks at the crowd. Orton gets up and lifts LA Knight and slams him onto the announce table. Orton lifts AJ Styles up and slams him onto the announce table and the fans cheer. Orton again lifts LA Knight up and throws him onto the announce table. Orton lifts AJ up but AJ lands on his feet and he slams Orton onto the announce table and Nick Aldis is watching on the outside of the ring.
AJ throws Orton back into the ring. AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Orton chops AJ’s legs and he falls onto the ring apron. Orton grabs AJ and hangs him onto the second rope and hits him with a DDT. Orton goes for the RKO but LA Knight drags Orton to the outside and throws him into the ring steps. AJ Styles with a dropkick through the ropes and all three men are down on the outside of the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, AJ Styles with a snap mare onto LA Knight and he hits him with a sliding forearm. Orton gets on the ring apron and AJ hits him with right hands. LA Knight with right hands onto AJ. He runs to the ropes but AJ with a knee to the midsection. AJ with a back drop and he goes for the cover but LA Knight kicks out. Orton is on the ring apron and AJ with kicks takes him down. AJ to the outside and he hits Orton with a chop to the chest and he throws Orton into the barricade. He slams Orton face first into the ring steps. AJ gets on the ring apron and he goes for a sunset flip onto LA Knight but LA Knight holds onto the ropes and goes for the cover but AJ kicks out. LA Knight with right hands. In comes Orton and LA Knight with right hands. LA Knight to the ropes and he hits Orton with a Russian leg sweep.
LA Knight with a knee to the face onto Styles. He grabs AJ and throws him to the ropes, landing a back body drop. Orton with a clothesline onto LA Knight followed by a snap powerslam. AJ runs towards Orton and Orton with a snap powerslam. Orton goes for the RKO onto LA Knight but LA Knight reverse’s it into the BFT. He goes for the cover and AJ holds up Charles Robinson, the referee’s hand on the three, breaking the count. AJ and LA Knight with right hands. AJ with an overhead kick. AJ with a back breaker.
AJ with a springboard 450 off the top rope onto LA Knight. He goes for the cover but LA Knight kicks out. LA Knight is cut open above his eyebrow. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Orton gets in the ring. AJ throws LA Knight to the outside. AJ with a forearm to the face. AJ on the ring apron and he goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Orton hits him with an RKO. He goes for the cover but LA Knight pulls the referee to the outside of the ring. LA Knight gets back into the ring.
Roman’s music hits and out he comes with Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. Roman points at Solo and Solo gets in the ring. Solo with a right hand onto LA Knight and he throws him to the outside. Roman and Jimmy stomp onto AJ Styles and Randy Orton in the ring. Orton rolls to the outside. Solo grabs the steel steps and he hits Orton with them. Roman hits AJ with a powerbomb and he throws AJ to the outside of the ring. Jimmy and Solo throw LA Knight back into the ring. Roman hits LA Knight with a Superman Punch. Roman runs to the ropes and hits him with a spear. Jimmy throws Orton into the ring and Roman hits him with a spear and Solo with a Samoan Spike. Nick Aldis grabs Heyman and tells him congratulations because it’s a fatal four way match against the three of them at the Royal Rumble. Aldis walks away as the show fades to black.
