WWE SmackDown kicks off with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory making their way down to the ring for Waller’s match.
We see clips of last week’s SmackDown main event between Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight. We see the Bloodline attacking them during the match and Nick Aldis announcing that it will be a fatal four way match for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.
A clip after the show is also shown of Paul Heyman telling Roman Reigns about the fatal four way match and Roman telling him to fix it. Back in the arena, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa attack Cameron Grimes as he is walking down to the ring for his match. WWE officials try to break it up but Solo and Jimmy attack the officials and walk down to the ring.
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory leave the ring. Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso get into the ring and Heyman says they are not the bad guys. He says the bad guy is that villainous, James Bond wanna be, Nick Aldis who is outside of the ring. Heyman says Aldis put Roman Reigns in a fatal four way match at the Royal Rumble where it is practically guaranteed that the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship of the world will be lost by Roman Reigns.
Heyman says that does not make them the bad guy but the bad guy in this situation is Nick Aldis. And as he says that, Aldis gets on the ring apron and takes the microphone from Heyman.
Aldis tells Heyman that this is not a conversation between two equals. The fatal four way match at the Royal Rumble is a done deal. He says thsi si the second match in as many weeks that have been ruiend by the Bloodline and it won’t happen again. He says they can’t ruin the main event of tonight’s show because tonight, the Bloodline are in the main event of the show. Aldis says the fans braved the cold to join them and they will get AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Ortom against Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns.
Heyman tries to take the microphone from Aldis but Aldis doesn’t let him. Heyman speaks into the microphone and says they both know that Roman Reigns is not here in Lincoln, Nebraksa. Aldis tells him he is right, Roman Reigns has once again started something that he doesn’t seem to want to finish. Aldis says the Bloodline have until the main event of tonight’s show to find a partner if they like and if not, it’s a three on two handicap match. Aldis tells Heyman good luck and leaves.
-Commercial Break-
We see Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa backstage. Heyman tells them not to worry, there are people who want to join the Bloodline and he will find someone to team up with them tonight. Jimmy Uso tells them he is worried and asks Solo if he is worried. Solo looks at Jimmy and tells him he is never worried.
Angel and Humberto with Santos Escobar vs. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro with Zelina Vega
Santos Escobar is on commentary. The bell rings and we are under way. All four men fight in the ring. Garza and Del Toro fight in the ring with Humberto and and Wilde to the outside. Del Toro with a drop kick onto Angel and he throws him to the outside of the ring. Humberto gets in the ring and he is thrown to the outside. Wilde and Del Toro with sentons over the top rope and onto Angel and Humberto. Angel gets thrown back into the ring and he hits Del Toro with a kick. Humberto is tagged in and they double team Del Toro.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Angel and Del Toro are in the ring. Humberto is tagged in and they double team Del Toro. Humberto goes for the cover but Del Toro kicks out. Angel is tagged and as is Wilde into the ring. Wilde with a dropkick. He hits Angel with a DDT. Wilde goes for the cover but Humberto breaks it up. Wilde throws Humberto to the outside. Wilde climbs the top rope but Angel trips him up. Humberto is tagged in and Wilde is on the top rope. They climb the second rope and slam Wilde onto the mat. Humberto goes for the cover but Wilde kicks out. Angel is tagged in and Wilde with a poisonrama onto Humberto. Angel goes for a spear but Wilde moves out of the way. Del Toro with a dropkick onto Humberto and he falls to the outside. Del Toro with a corkscrew plancha onto Humberto.
Carlito’s music hits and Santos Escobar gets to his feet. Carlito jumps him from behind and the two fight into the crowd. Wilde runs towards Angel but Angel rolls him up, holds onto the ropes and gets the pin.
Winners: Angel and Humberto
Carmelo Hayes and Nick Aldis are backstage. Aldis tells him he impressed a lot during the United States Championship tournament. In come Austin Theory and Grayson Waller who ask Aldis what he is doing tonight with the show. They ask Carmelo what he is doing on the show and they tell Hayes he isn’t on his level. Carmela tells Waller he is higher than his level. Grayson says he just wrestled tonight and can’t but Austin Theory can wrestle him. Carmelo agrees and Aldis makes the match.
-Commercial Break-
The LWO are walking backstage and Paul Heyman stops Carlito. He has a red apple and shines it and he tells Carlito he does not want Carlito to take this like Adam and Eve but in the Garden of Sin, Carlito teaming with Solo and Jimmy would be cool. Carlito says he wants a fight and fighting Escobar would be cool. He grabs the apple from Heyman and walks Heyman. Heyman tells him the apple and the tag team match are a deal.
We see clips of Kevin Owens punching Logan Paul from SmackDown last week.
A video of Logan Paul airs with him saying he is not in Nebraska and he spoke to his lawyers because of his black eye. Kevin’s cast could be a liability for their match. He says he is ready for their fight but is Owens ready to face him in a fair fight because if he shows up to the Rumble with a cast on, their match is cancelled.
-Commercial Break-
A clip of Butch and Tyler Bate at a coffee shop airs. Bate tells Butch he saw his reaction when he showed up on SmackDown, they have been friends for years. Butch tells him not to make him regret giving him that call. The Brawling Brutes is in the past. Bate tells him they finally get the chance to show the world what British strongstyle is all about. Butch looks away with a grin.
Bianca Belair vs. Bayley with Damage CTRL
The bell rings and we are under way. Bayley with a clothesline takes Bianca down. Bianca gets back to her feet and hits Bayley with a shoulder tackle. Bianca with a hammer lock but Bayley gets to the ring apron and twists Bianca’s arm around the ropes. Bianca gets out of it and hits Bayley with a take down. Bayley to the ropes and Bianca with a back drop. She hits Bayley with a moonsault and goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Bianca runs towards Bayley but Bayley with a boot to the face. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. She grabs Bianca but Bianca with a body slam. Bianca runs towards Bayley but Bayley trips her up. Bayley talks to Damage CTRL but Bianca goes for KOD and Bayley lands on the ring apron., Bianca slams Bayley face first onto the turnbuckle and she falls to the outside. Bianca jumps over the top rope and lands on Bayley on the outside of the ring.
Back from commercial, Bayley with a knee to the body followed by a clothesline. She grabs Bianca but Bianca reverses it and hits her with a spinebuster. Bianca with a shoulder tackle and a dropkick. Bayley in the corner and Bianca stands on the second rope hitting her with right hands. Bayley trips Bianca up onto the second rope and she htis her with a running knee. Bayley goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Bayley grabs Bianca’s braid and ties it to the bottom rope. Bayley with a running knee to the face. She goes for another running knee but Bianca moves and trips Bayley with her braid. Bianca unties herself and rolls to the outside. She slams Bayley face first onto the ring apron. Bianca grabs Bayley but Bayley pulls Bianca forward and she hits the ring post. Bayley on the outside runs towards Bianca but Bianca grabs her and throws her into the ring post. Bianca throws Bayley back into the ring. Bianca slams Bayley into the turnbuckle and she hits her with a suplex. Bayley back in the corner and Bianca climbs the top rope and hits her with right hands. Bianca with a back flip lands on her feet. Bayley runs towards her but Bianca with a back breaker. She goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Bianca goes for a slam but Bayley lands on her feet and slams Bianca into the turnbuckle. Bayley runs towards Bianca but Bianca pushes her and throws her onto the mat.
Bianca with a moon sault. She goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Bianca goes for the KOD but Bayley lands on her feet and she throws Bianca into the turnbuckle and Bianca falls to the mat. Bayley climbs the top rope and she hits Bianca with an elbow drop. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Bianca runs towards Bayley but Bayley slams her onto the mat. She goes for the cover but Bayley’s feet are on the ropes and the referee sees it. He breaks the count and Bianca back to her feet. She throws Bianca to the outside. Bayley fakes an injury and distracts the referee but Damage CTRL don’t attack Bianca. Bayley looks confused and goes to the outside. She throws Bianca back into the ring and looks at Damage CTRL. Bayley back in the ring and Bianca hits her with a spear. Bianca hits her with a KOD. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Bianca Belair
A video of Kevin Owens airs. He tells Logan that they both know the cast is not an advantage and if it is, it’s for Logan because he has a broken hand. But it won’t keep him from being at the Royal Rumble. He understands what Logan is trying to do. He tells Logan they should talk about it face to face, next week on SmackDown where Logan gets to have the biggest honor of his miserable career by being a guest on the Kevin Owens show.
-Commercial Break-
Damage CTRL are backstage and in comes Bayley what that was all about. Dakota says the referee was looking at them and they did not want to cause a disqualification. The plan Bayley had for them to have all the gold, Bayley has to win the Rumble alone. Bayley tells her they are stronger together and Dakota tells her she still has a Rumble to win.
Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits walk down to the ring. Lashley tells AOP and Karrion Kross that they tried to take them out last week. Jumping them from behind did not give them the upper hand, it got them in a fight they can’t win. Lashley says when he and the Street Profits have a problem with someone, they take it face to face and approach things. They don’t hide, they walk down the ring, roll up their sleeves, clinch their fists and get ready to fight. He calls out Karrion Kross and AOP to the ring.
The lights go out and out comes Paul Ellering. He points to the titan tron and we see a video of Kross and Scarlett. They talk about how they are going to break people on the outside. He tells Lashley that him and his embarrassing Street Profits are now on the top of their list. And who better to enter the dawn of the new era than two of the most dangerous men the world has ever known, the Authors of Pain. And the most sadistic person the world has ever known, Paul Ellering. He says they are the Final Testament. The video cuts and we see Lashley and the Street Profits in the ring.
We cut to the back and Heyman is approached by Pretty Deadly. They begin to stutter and tell Heyman that hey heard they are looking for people and they think they can make a great team. Heyman tells them that the two of them realize it’s one person teaming with Jimmy and Uso. Pretty Deadly get out of it and apologize, walking away.
-Commercial Break-
Lashley and the Street Profits are backstage. Heyman approaches Lashley and he tells him they have known each other for a long time and as a long time friend, he can do him a favor and work out that aggression tonight by teaming up with Solo and Jimmy. Lashley says he has known him for a long time but the only time he wants to be in the ring with the Bloodline is when he is standing across Roman Reigns. Lashley and the Street Profits walk away and Heyman stands angry.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Austin Theory with Grayson Waller
The bell rings and we are under way. Hayes with a headlock but Theory gets out of it. Theory with a headlock but Hayes gets out of it. Hayes to the ropes and he hits Theory with a dropkick. Theory pushes Hayes away. He lifts Hayes up but Hayes lands on his feet. A kick by Hayes and Theory hands onto the second ropes and Hayes with the fade away. Theory on the ring apron and Hayes with a DDT.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Theory with a dropkick and Hayes falls to the outside of the ring. Theory to the outside and he throws Hayes back into the ring. Theory on the ring apron and he goes for a suplex but Hayes blocks it. Hayes suplexes Theory back into the ring. Hayes with an atomic drop and a chop to the chest.
Hayes with a flying clothesline. He runs towards Theory and hits him with a facebuster. Hayes goes for the First 48 but Theory catches him and places him on the top rope. Theory jumps onto the second rope and goes for the Spanish fly but both Hayes lands on Theory’s face. Both men look hurt and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: No contest
We cut backstage and see Jimmy Uso talking to Solo telling him he knows Paul Heyman found them a partner. Heyman tells him he interviewed everyone and there is no one that is worthy to stand in the ring with the Bloodline. Auditions are over, he has full faith in his Jimmy and in Solo. He is not worried. Jimmy tells him he is worried. Solo looks at Jimmy and says he is not and walks away. Jimmy says if Solo isn’t worried, he isn’t worried and walks away.
A contract signing involving Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles is announced for next week.
Randy Orton comes down to the ring but as he is walking down, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso attack him from behind.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, we see Randy Orton walking to the back.
Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa vs. Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight
Randy Orton is in the back as the bell rings and we are under way. AJ Styles and LA Knight argue in the ring about who will start the match and Jimmy Uso attacks LA Knight. Right hands by Jimmy and he throws LA Knight to the ropes. LA Knight with a swinging neck breaker. He goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out. A right hand by LA Knight and AJ Styles is tagged in. They double team Jimmy, hitting him with elbows to the face. AJ Styles with a chop to the chest and LA Knight is tagged back in. Right hands and kicks by LA Knight in the corner. LA Knight goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out. AJ Styles is tagged back in and a snapmare by AJ. A flying forearm by AJ and he goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out. A drop kick by AJ Styles and he clotheslines Jimmy to the outside of the ring. In comes Solo and he grabs AJ but LA knight gets in the ring and they double team Solo, hitting him with right hands and chops. They clothesline Solo to the outside of the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Solo with a back elbow to the face onto AJ Styles. Solo with right hands Solo distracts the referee and with AJ leaning on the second rope, Jimmy hits him with a drop kick. Jimmy is tagged into the ring but AJ with right hands. AJ with a clothesline and both men are down. AJ goes for the tag but LA Knight jumps off the ring apron and he throws Solo, who was running towards him, into the ring steps. In the ring, AJ with an overhead kick onto Jimmy. LA Knight wants the tag and AJ looks at LA Knight and they argue. AJ tells LA that he tried screwing him over. Jimmy goes for a superkick onto AJ but AJ moves out of the way and Jimmy hits LA Knight, knocking him off the ring apron. AJ runs to the ropes, he goes for a clotheslien but Jimmy goes for a clothesline and both men collide.
Randy Orton’s music hits and out he comes. Orton gets on the ring apron and AJ tags him in. Orton with a clothesline onto Jimmy. He knocks Solo off the ring apron. A snap powerslam onto Jimmy and Jimmy rolls onto the ring apron. Orton gets him onto the second rope and hits him with the draping DDT. Orton goes for the RKO but Jimmy rolls him up and Orton kicks out. Jimmy hits Orton with a superkick but Orton hits him with the RKO. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight
Solo attacks Orton after the match but AJ hits Solo with the Phenomenal Forearm. LA Knight hits Solo with the BFT. LA and AJ argue in the middle of the ring. Solo gets to his feet and Orton hits him with the RKO. Orton rolls to the outside and grabs Jimmy Uso. He hits him with uppercuts. AJ Styles to the outside and he hits Jimmy with a right hand. Orton grabs the steel steps and hits Jimmy with them. AJ Styles throws Jimmy over the barricade. Orton clears the announce table. Orton and AJ lift Solo up onto LA Knight’s shoulders and he powerbombs Solo through the announce table. We see Paul Heyman grab his phone and calls Roman Reigns and SmackDown goes off the air.
