WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of the WrestleMania kick off press conference from Las Vegas.
Live in the arena, Triple H’s music hits and out comes the Chief Content Officer, Paul Levesque.
Both general managers, Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are in the ring when Triple H walks down. He shakes their hands. The fans chant “Triple H” and he tells them that feels like they are on the road to WrestleMania. He welcomes everyone to SmackDown and says that last night in Las Vegas, it was an incredible kick off event to get them started on that road, to the grandest stage of them all.
But somewhere yesterday, they took a hard left turn and that road is on fire. But it feels really good. He says he came out to clear up one thing. The fans chant “Rocky sucks” and Triple H pauses and looks at the crowd. He says he waned to clear up some things because it felt like there was some confusion.
Triple H says maybe some people don’t know their role. He wanted to set the record straight. He says he doesn’t care where you sit, there is one thing that is clear. And that is that the answers come from one place and one place only and we are looking at him.
He says that in the main event of WrestleMania 40, the biggest WrestleMania of all time, Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes. A loud pop from the crowd.
He says that decision will disappoint some people and they won’t like it. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t like that decision. He welcomes everyone to the road to WrestleMania.
Nick Aldis claps and says that the WWE Championship match has been decided and they will shift their attention to Seth Rollins. He says after extensive discussions all week, they have collectively agreed that Seth’s challenger at WrestleMania will be determined in Australia in the Elimination Chamber. And they kick things off with a series of matches to determine the participants in that match.
Aldis says that WWE management is a united front, he hands it over to Adam Pearce. He directs everyone to the tron and the 12 superstars who will compete for the opportunity to be in the ELimination Chamber. Those 12 superstars are Randy Orton, Bronson Reed, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, AJ Styles, The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Ivar, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Dominik Mysterio and LA Knight.
He says it will be six matches over three events. The first match is AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre.
Out comes Drew McIntyre. He says he wants to take a moment to tell everyone thank you. And thank you to prove to him with their wallets that they feel the same way he does about CM Punk. He says his shirt is selling more than CM Punk’s shirts. He says Punk will not get one penny of the profits.
Drew says everyone is happy that Cody chose Roman Reigns. He says he tried to reason with Cody verbally on Raw but he didn’t listen. But when he reasoned with him verbally, Cody chose Roman. Drew says he saved WrestleMania and now he will save the World Title and all he has to do is go through the Elimination Chamber and have his moment at WrestleMania. He says he will give them a Champion they can be proud of and a Champion that is best for business.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match – Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles
LA Knight’s music hits and out comes LA Knight before the start of the match. He walks down and joins the commentary team. The bell rings and we are under way. AJ Styles with a right hand but Drew with a big chop to the chest. Drew goes for a suplex but AJ with a kick and a chop to the chest. AJ climbs the second rope and jumps but Drew catches him and suplex him. Drew with a big chop to the chest. AJ with chops onto Drew. He runs to the ropes but Drew hits him with a back breaker. He goes for the cover but AJ Styles kicks out. Drew with an arm bar but AJ with a right hand and a running shoulder tackle onto Drew’s leg. AJ climbs the second rope but Drew chops him and AJ falls to the outside of the ring. Drew throws AJ over the barricade and into the time keeper’s area.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, AJ with a tornado DDT. AJ with forearms and kicks. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Drew throws him in the corner and hits him with a chop to the chest. He places AJ on his shoulders and he climbs the second rope. AJ rolls and lands on his feet. He lifts Drew up and hits him with a sit down powerbomb. He goes for the cover but Drew kicks out. AJ tries to lift Drew up but Drew lands on his feet and hits him with a future shock DDT. Drew with a kick up but he holds his left knee. He goes for the Claymore but AJ ducks. AJ with the calf crusher but Drew makes it to the ropes. AJ gets on the ring apron and goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but Drew stops him and hits him with a right hand and AJ falls to the outside of the ring. LA Knight gets to his feet and Drew grabs AJ but AJ with a kick to the side of the head. Drew grabs AJ and throws him on top of the announce table and in front of LA Knight. The water bottle on the table spills onto AJ and Drew pushes AJ into LA Knight. Drew grabs AJ and throws him in the ring. Drew gets in the ring and AJ goes for an inside cradle but LA Knight is on the ring apron and distracts the referee. AJ with a punch onto LA Knight. He turns around and Drew hits him with the Claymore. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Kayla Braxton is backstage with Sami Zayn. He tells her that nothing is certain in WWE, especially around WrestleMania season. He says last year he was in the main event and this year, he is watching that window close fast. But he does not have time to get emotional, he has to look at what is right in front of him. And that is an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Randy Orton. And if he gets through Orton, Drew McIntyre is waiting for him. He says it is not an easy path but it is a path and he will take it.

A video of Pretty Deadly by a lake airs. They talk about WrestleMania season and how they will show everyone who they are.
We see clips of Bayley challenging IYO Sky for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match – Bianca Belair vs. Michin
The bell rings and we are under way. Bianca goes for the KOD but Michin with an arm drag. Kicks by Michin and she goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Bianca rolls to the outside of the ring. Michin gets on the ring apron and kicks Bianca down.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Michin with a clothesline. Bianca gets back up and Michin hits her with a swinging neck breaker. She goes for a cannonball in the corner but Bianca moves out of the way. Bianca with a back breaker. Bianca runs to the ropes and she goes for a moon sault, Michin gets her feet up but Bianca blocks it. She lifts Michin up and slams her. Bianca goes for the cover but Michin kicks out.
She throws Michin in the corner and Bianca climbs the second rope. Right hands by Bianca but Michin slides under her and she hits bIanca from behind. Michin climbs the second rope and a suplex by Michin. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Michin with Eat Da Feet and Bianca falls to the outside of the ring. Michin to the outside and she throws Bianca back in. She goes for the Styles Clash but Bianca with a back drop. Bianca hits her with the KOD. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Bianca Belair
-Commercial Break-
Bron Breakker is backstage with Triple H. He tells Bron he is very proud of him and it is impressive to see how far he has come. He tells Bron he is anxious to see him at this level. Bron says he wants to pick his brain because he doesn’t know if he wants to be on Raw or SmackDown.
In comes Paul Heyman who shakes Bron’s hand. Triple H asks Bron to give them a second and Bron leaves. Heyman says that is a talent from a whacky family. Triple H asks him what he wants. Heyman says he can see it is not a good time after what happened last night but he will be back next week and when he will be back, he will be back with his Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and The Rock.
Bayley’s music hits and out she comes to the ring. The fans chant “Bayley” and she says they made her feel a little better about coming out. She says there is a big part of her that doesn’t want to believe that what happened last week even happened at all. The fans chant “Bayley”. She says like her or not, they are cool right now and that is because they have been on this journey with her. And they know what is in her heart.
She says Damage CTRL meant everything to her. The fans chant “You deserve it”. Bayley thanks them and says Damage CTRL were her family. We saw how many times she put Damage CTRL over herself and all they did was take from her. The fans boo. She says she thought that after she won the Royal Rumble, they would be happy for her but that didn’t happen. They laughed at her behind her back. They would stop talking when she would enter a room. She says she is not an idiot and at WrestleMania, IYO will learn the hard way.
Out comes Dakota Kai. She tells Bayley that she has been trying to reach ehr all week and Bayley is ghosting her. Dakota says she had to meet with her doctor last week, she didn’t know about all of this happening. Bayley tells her to cut it, she knew what was going on. Dakota tells her that she was put in a tough spot but she always believed in Damage CTRL. The fans boo.
Dakota says IYO believed too up until Kairi and Asuka came along. But once they got into IYO’s head, the rest was history. Bayley asks her why she didn’t tell her and Dakota says she wanted to but did not know how. She says she misses the three of them, with IYO. They could do no wrong because they always had each other. She tells Bayley she was always a mentor to her and she would not be here without Bayley.
She says it looked like Bayley’s plan was working. The Kabuki Warriors won the Tag titles, Bayley won the Royal Rumble. They were fclose to having it all and she thought the situation with Kairi and Asuka would blow over butit didn’t.
Bayley asks her where she stands. IYO’s music hits and out she comes with the Kabuki Warriors. Dakota leaves the ring and gets a chair. She gets in the ring and starts to swing the chair at IYO, Asuka and Kairi who are on the ring apron. They all drop to the outside and Dakota looks at Bayley and drops the chair. Bayley’s music hits and Bayley kicks the chair to the outside.
We cut to Kayla who is backstage with Randy Orton. He tells her that earlier tonight, Zayn said it is not a given that everyone makes it to WrestleMania and he is right. Last year, he was injured. But he learned patience. He says in this business, the viper is always known when to strike but now, he knows how important it is to wait. And as far as Roman is concerned, he can wait. His road to WrestleMania has taken a slight detour and if everything goes his way, he will move on to the Elimination Chamber. And that one constant in the Chamber is the three most destructive letters, RKO.

Bobby Lashley is backstage with The Street Profits and B-Fab. They talk about the Final Testament but that they have big business to attend to and that starts on Monday with Lashley against Bronson Reed in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
The winners face the Judgment Day at Elimination Chamber – Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne vs. DIY
The bell rings and we are under way. Bate and Gargano start the match. Both men with reversals to start the match. Bate to the ropes and Dunne is tagged in, he hits Gargano with a clothesline. Dunne with an arm bar but Tommaso is tagged in and he hits Dunne with an elbow to the face. He runs towards Dunne but Dunne throws him to the outside. Dunne jumps off the ring apron but Tommaso moves out of the way. Bate goes for a suicide dive but Tommaso moves out of the way and DIY with right hands onto Bate.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Tommaso with a double clothesline on Dunne and Bate. An inverted DDT by Tommaso. He goes for the cover but Bate kicks out. Gargano is tagged in and Dunne gets in the ring but Tommaso hits him with a right hand. Gargano with a right hand onto Dunne. They double team Dunne. Gargano with a clothesline onto Bate. Gargano runs towards Bate but Bate gets him on his shoulders. He trips Tommaso up and with Gargano on his shoulders, he spins Tommaso around. He throws Gargano onto Tommaso. Dunne is tagged in and he stomps onto Gargano’s hands. Bate is tagged back in. Dunne and Gargano fight to the outside.
Tommaso with a back breaker power bomb onto Bate. He goes for the cover but Bate kicks out. Gargano is tagged in. Bate grabs Tommaso’s hand and twists his fingers. Gargano superkicks Dunne and Tommaso hits him with a knee to the face. Bate with a double clothesline. He goes for the Tyler Driver but Gargano lands on his feet. He hits him with a super kick. Bate is tagged, Bate with a suicided dive onto Tommaso on the outside. Dunne hits Gargano with the Bitter End. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne
Byron Saxton is backstage and in comes Dominik. He says after Finn and Damian retain their tag team titles, Rhea Ripley will wipe the floor with Nia Jax. And he is going to shoot his shot an dsay he is going to win the Elimination Chamber, face Seth Rollins and he will have matching titles with Rhea. Byron tells him he still needs to qualify. He says he doesn’t care who they put in front of him and in comes Kevin Owens. He tells Dominik the only thing that will happen next week is he is going to give him the biggest beat down of all time. Dominik walks away and in comes R-Truth and he yells Nick. Owens asks him if he wants Nick Mysterio and R-Truth says Nick Aldis.

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are backstage. In comes Logan Paul who tells Nick he wanted a challenger for his United States Championship but instead he is in a qualifying match. He says he doesn’t need to qualify, he is a prized fighter. He says he has him fighting next week in Utah. He should be getting The Rock treatment and that is walking in, smacking someone and leaving on a jet.
Logan says he will do it, he will win the Elimination Chamber and after he wins the title at WrestleMania, he will walk out as double champion. Aldis says he will face The Miz next week.

Elimination Chamber qualifying match – Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn
The bell rings and we are under way. A head lock by Orton and he runs to the ropes but Zayn throws him to the outside. Orton walks around the ring and gets back in the ring. Zayn with right hand. He gets Orton in the corner and hits him with right hands but Orton throws Zayn in the corner. Orton climbs the second rope and hits Zayn with right hands. An uppercut by Orton and Zayn falls to the outside of the ring. Orton throws Zayn towards the barricade but Zayn jumps the barricade and lands a moon sault onto Orton. Right hands by Zayn but Orton slams him face first into the announce table. He goes to slam Zayn but Zayn lands on his feet. He slams Orton onto the announce table.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Randy Orton with a superplex off the top rope. Orton with a right hand but Zayn pushes him into the corner. Shoulder tackles by Zayn and he slams Orton into the opposite corner but Orton comes running out with a clothesline. He throws Zayn to the ropes and Orton with a snap power slam. Zayn rolls onto the ring apron and Orton gets him onto the second rope and goes for a DDT but Zayn gets in the ring and he throws Orton to the outside. Zayn with a suicide dive. Zayn grabs Orton but Orton with right hands and he slams Zayn into the announce table. Orton gets back into the ring and he grabs Zayn on the ring apron. Orton hits him with a DDT into the ring. Orton goes for the RKO but Zayn rolls him up but Orton kicks out. Zayn with the Blue Thunder Bomb. He goes for the cover but Orton kicks out. Zayn runs to the ropes and jumps off the second rope backwards behind Orton. Zayn lands on his feet and Orton hits him with the RKO. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Randy Orton
Zayn leaves the ring and Randy Orton celebrates on the second rope. He gets down and Drew McIntyre is standing in the ring. Both men go face to face and SmackDown goes off the air.
