Brock Lesnar reportedly removed as playable character in WWE 2K24

According to Insider Gaming, Brock Lesnar is in WWE 2K24. However you won’t be able to play as him.

Insider Gaming notes multiple sources have told them that while it was too late to fully remove Lesnar from the game, The plan shifted to simply make him unplayable for players upon the game’s release.

The report also notes that despite being unplayable, Lesnar’s character and game files are still within WWE 2K24. This means there will be ways for those with the ability to get him to become playable, but it will take some work to make it actually happen.

The report further notes there is said to be a couple of reasons why Lesanr was not fully removed from the game.

The biggest reason given for Lesnar not being playable is that it was so late in the game’s development when he had been identified as the “former UFC Heavyweight” mentioned in the sex trafficking and sexual abuse allegations against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis.

Another reason, per the report is that its possible Lesnar’s character has minor inclusions within different game modes.

Insider Gaming further notes they reached out to over a dozen contacts at 2K through various methods for comment on Lesnar’s status within the game as well as what sources have said. As of this writing, Insider Gaming said that they have no responses. The publication did say the closest to an answer was a rep passing along what the company says is “the full roster” with Lesnar not included.

We will provide any updates as they become available.

The report concluded by indicating WWE 2K24 launches March 8 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Those who pre-order the Deluxe or Forty Years of WrestleMania edition will get access starting on March 5.
