UPDATE on report of top creative team member gone from WWE, several cuts made

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer/F4WOnline has confirmed that Christine Lubrano has been let go from WWE and that additional cuts have occurred.

Meltzer said the following in his latest newsletter:

“More cuts have taken place in the office. The biggest name would be Christine Lubrano, the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations,” Meltzer wrote. “She and Bruce Prichard oversaw the writing team and reported directly to Paul Levesque. She had been [one] of the key creative people for four years.”

According to new reports from PWInsider Elite and Fightful, WWE reportedly fired 10 to 12 staff members on Thursday. Christine Lubrano, who served as Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations, is reportedly among those released.

Lubrano had been with WWE since January 2021. According to a report from PWInsider, she oversaw all strategic operations for WWE creative. The Raw, SmackDown, and NXT creative teams reported to Lubrano and Bruce Prichard, who in turn reported to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Before joining WWE, Lubrano worked at IFC and was the SVP of Original Programming and Development.
