We go right inside the venue with the pyro going off as Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to a packed crowd inside.

The music of Claudio Castagnoli hits, as he makes his way out from the concessions area and through the crowd.

Next up is the music of Komander, as he makes his way out and down to the ring with Abrahantes.

AEW International Championship No. 1 Contender Tournament Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Komander

The bell rings as we are underway. Both men lock up as Claudio pushes Komander to the ropes. We don’t get a clean break, as Claudio chops Komander and then kicks him down, stomping on him in the corner. As Komander gets up, Claudio chops him, but Komander fights back. Claudio sends Komander to the mat to boos from the fans. Claudio picks up Komander, but he counters and drops Claudio. Komander walks the top rope and comes down and is caught by Claudio and we have a giant swing! Claudio drops him and then shoves him out of the ring and to the floor. Claudio sends Komander head first into the barricade and then chops him. Claudio sends Komander into the barricade again. Komander is sitting on a chair as Claudio goes in the ring to break the count and then comes back to the floor. Claudio picks up Komander and drops him on top of the barricade. Komander gets back in the ring, as Claudio follows. Claudio tosses Komander, but he fights back and springs up and comes down with an armdrag on Claudio, sending him to the floor. Komander flies over the ropes and lands on Claudio on the floor! The fans go wild as Komander walks the top rope, coming off on Claudio who hits the ring, but its caught by Claudio for three back breakers! Claudio covers Komander, but he kicks out at two! Claudio has Komander locked into a half crab, as Komander fights out of it. Komander is up and face plants Claudio! Komander is up on the top and comes down, but Claudio moves…Claudio kicks Komander and picks him on his back and climbs up to the second rope, but Komander sends him down! Komander covers Claudio, but he kicks out at two! Komander goes up on the top and hits Claudio with a sunset bomb, but its not enough for a pinfall…Komander runs up on the top rope and makes an attempt for a moonsault, but Claudio catches him and drops on his head to get the three count.

Winner by pinfall: Claudio Castagnoli

We get a recap of what happened between Hangman Page, Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland on last week’s Dynamite.

We go backstage with Renee Paquette talking with Swerve about Hangman Page. Will Ospreay comes in and tells Swerve he was the first black world champion and the title should be around the waste of Page who is the best in the world. Swerve tells Ospreay is delusional and is done talking. The two start to brawl as security pulls them apart.

Next up is the music of Konsuke Takeshita as we get ready for our next match. Don Callis Family out first, followed by Paragon.

Don Callis Family’s Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero and Konosuke Takeshita) vs. Tomohiro Ishii and Paragon (Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly)

The bell rings as we are underway…the heels send the faces to the floor….Romero hits the floor and is taken out by Kyle O’Reilly and then Roderick Strong. Ishii and Strong chop Takeshita and sit him in a chair, as O’Reilly hits Takeshita….the action goes back in the ring, as Ishii and Romero are the legal men in the ring. Ishii kicks Romero and then picks him and tags in Strong. Romero fights back and tags in Trent Beretta. Takeshita distracts the ref, allowing Don Callis to nail Strong…

-FULL COMMERCIAL BREAK (ON MAX)-

Back from the break, O’Reilly is tagged in, as he takes down Romero with a leg sweep and then hits Trent with an elbow shot. Kyle drops Trent on his head and then nails him with an elbow strike and covers him, but Romero breaks up the pin attempt. Ishii is tagged in. Trent nails him with an elbow, but Ishii doesn’t move and then nails Trent, sending him to the corner. Takeshita is tagged in, but send down, as he tags in Romero. Paragon come in, as Strong picks up Takeshita and drops him on his back. Ishii covers Takeshita for only a two count. Takeshita then picks up Ishii and drops him with a blue thunder bomb. Kyle clotheslines Takeshita…Trent then takes down O’Reilly with a half and half….Ishii tries to pick up Takeshita, as we get a ref bump. Romero low-blows Ishii, which allows Takeshita to drop Ishii with a blue thunder bomb to get the win.

Back from the break, the lights go down, as the music of Anthony Bowens hits. He makes his way out with Billy Gunn, as they both head to the ring.

The music of The Rainmaker hits, as the Continental Champion makes his way to the ring, to cheers.

AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Anthony Bowens

The bell rings, as we are underway. Both men hook up as Okada sends Bowens to the ropes. We get a clean break as Okada backs up. Both men lock up again, as Bowens pushes Okada to the ropes and then does the scissoring in Okada’s face. Okada sends Bowens to the ropes as he kicks Okada and drops him with a fameasser. Bowens picks up Okada and drops him again…Okada slides out of the ring. Bowens goes to the outside and slaps Okada. Both men exchange forearm shots on the floor as the ref starts the ten count. Bowens goes in the ring to break the ten count and quickly comes back out, only to be nailed by Okada and hits the floor…

-FULL COMMERCIAL BREAK (ON MAX)-

Back from the break, Okada slams down Bowens and connects with a big elbow drop from the top. Okada then flips off the fans, as Bowen grabs Okada’s finger and drops him back first, covering him for only a two count. Bowens goes to the top, but he is met by Okada. Both men are on the ropes, as Bowens fights off Okada, but he comes back…Bowens kicks Okada in the knee and then the back of head. Bowens DDT’s Okada off the second rope and covers Okada for only a two count! Bowens picks up Okada, but he fights back. Bowens comes back and hits Okada in the mid-section. Bowens attempts a few pin attempts on Okada, who then drops Bowens with a neck-breaker. Okada applies a wrist lock on Bowens, who then fights out of the hold and slaps Okada across the chest. Okada hits Bowens with a series of forearm chops. Bowens fights back with a big pump kick to Okada’s jaw, then drops him on the mat head first….Bowens kicks Okada, sending him down. Okada is up as Bowens runs to Okada and is caught with a Rainmaker, giving Okada the win.

We go backstage with Lexy Nair talking to Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic, asking what is next…Don Callis and Lance Archer come in and ask Garcia what he is doing with Daddy Magic…Callis tells Garcia he needs to be a part of the family and stop listening to Daddy Magic…Callis says the family wants volunteers and not hostages and asks Garcia to just think…

We hear from FTR

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone is in the ring. Tony introduces FTR and Stokley Hathaway. The music for the former tag champs hit, as all three men come out to boos from the fans, as all three hit the ring.

FTR wave as the fans boo them. Dax Harwood invites Nigel McGuinness into the ring. Stokley says that at Double or Nothing, FTR proved they are the best in the world, legend killers and right about Nigel McGuiness. They give him an A for effort and a D for execution. Stokley says since they are so close to the border, they are offering an open challenge to any tag team south of the border and have a contract for anyone who want to fight them on a future Dynamite or Collision. Atlantis Jr. and Templario come out. Cash Wheeler says they are huge fans and living luchas themselves. Wheeler says they held gold in Mexico and that the two can be a warm up…Dax geta on the mic to huge boos. Dax introduces himself, Cash and Stokley to Atlantis, Jr. and Templario…Dax says they are big stars in the US. Dax says AEW and CMLL has a joint show in Mexico on June 18…Dax says no one knows who they are with the stupid Power Rangers masks…Dax mentions Grand Slam Mexico and cuts off Atlantis Jr and Templario says their dream match must be against FTR, but he is sure Tony Khan has other plans for them. Dax puts over Atlantis Sr. Dax says he is a big fan of Atlantis Sr and tells Jr to keep his old a– at home and not to mess with FTR…Jr then says something to Dax in Spanish…Dax says he does not any trouble as it is about CMLL and AEW. Dax and Cash attack Atlantis and Templario, but they fight back and take out FTR, sending them to the floor, as the fans go crazy! Atlantis then says he and Templario will kick FTR’s a–.

During the segment, the fans were chanting a profanity in Spanish at FTR.

We get a recap from Wednesday’s Dynamite with the segment between Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone’.

Back in the venue, the music of Skye Blue hits, as she makes her way to the ring.

Next up, Mina Shirakawa’s music hits, as she makes her way out and down to the ring.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Skye Blue

The bell rings as both women lock up. Mina shoves Blue to break the hold. Blue drops Mina face first and then as Mina is up, both ladies exchange blows. Blue connects with a foot to the mid-section on Mina and then kicks her. Blue stomps on Mina. Blue sends Mina to the corner. Mina comes back and hits Blue with a palm strike to the jaw. Mina grabs the hand of Blue, holding on as she goes to the top rope and comes down on Blue…Mina covers Blue for only a two count. Blue and Mina are on the apron. Mina attempts to German Suplex Blue, but she counters, dropping Mina head first on the apron.

-FULL COMMERCIAL BREAK (ON MAX)-

Back from the break, Blue powerbombs Mina and then covers her for only a two count. Blue connects on Mina with a thrust kick. Blue goes for a code Blue, but Mina counters it. Mina is up on the top rope and comes down with a neck-breaker on Blue and covers her, but Blue kicks out at two…Mina then connects with a Glamour driver on Blue for the three count.

Winner by pinfall: Mina Shirakawa

After the match, Julia Hart hits the ring and attacks Mina and applies the hartless as Blue kicks Mina…the music of Toni Storm hits, as he runs down to the ring to make the save, sending Blue and Hart packing…

We go to a video package, hyping up Gates of Agony.

Back from the break, the music of Gates of Agony hit, at Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun head to the ring. GMO Kaminari and Cosmo Orion are already in the ring.

Kauna and Orion start off, as Kaun chops Orion. Kaun picks up Orion and drops him with a running suplex. Kaun sends Orion to the ropes and then drops him with a buckle bomb. Liona is tagged in. GMO is tagged in and assaulted by Liona. Kauan comes in and drops GMO with a running drop…Gates of Agony double team both GMO and Cosmo and drop hem on their backs and cover them to get the pin.

Winners by pinfall: Gates of Agony

We go to a vignette with Max Caster trying hype up what looks like AEW fans backstage or staff, that he is best wrestler alive. He says he wants to take pictures withe them, but needs everyone to sign a petition that he is the best wrestler alive…he hands out the petition and then runs out of the building.

Back in the venue, the music of Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos hit, as they all head to the ring…Top Flight and AR Fox are out next…

Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos vs. AR Fox and Top Flight (Darius Martin and Dante Martin)

The bell rings, as Rush hits Fox with chops…Fox fights but, Mortos and Dralistico send him to the mat. Dralistico charges at Fox, but he sends Dralistico to the floor. Fox, and Top Flight, take flight onto Rush, Dralistico and Mortos on the floor. The action goes back in the ring…Rush takes down Fox and Top Flight, as the fans chant for Rush. Mortos chops Fox. Rush sends Fox to the corner and then connects with a big elbow. Rush then charges at Fox and stops, then kicks Fox in the face…

-FULL COMMERCIAL BREAK (ON MAX)-

Back from the break, Mortos, Dralistico and Rush triple team Fox. Mortos covers Fox, but he kicks out a two. Fox kicks Rush and Dralistico and then comes down with a swanton on Mortos…Darrius Martin is in. He takes down Dralistico and Rush. Darrisu covers Dralistico, but Mortos makes the save and is tagged in. Top Flight double team Mortos and Fox comes in, as he and Top Flight triple team Dralistico…Dralistco comes back and kicks Darrius and connects witha destroyer…Rush is in briefly…Dralistico comes off the top and lands on Darrius. He then takes down Dante and Fox on the floor. Mortos then leaps through the ropes and takes down Fox and Dante on the floor…Darrius is down in the corner as Rush charges at Darrius, connecting with a big kick, to get the win.

Winners by pinfall: Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos

After the match, Rush grabs a camera cable and uses it to choke out Darrius. Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight and Komander run to the ring to make the save…Bailey and Komander are briefly taken out, but recover enough to send Dralistico, Rush and Mortos out of the ring.

(I did my best to keep up with all the action that was all over the place for most of the match).

We go to a video package with Mark Briscoe talking about his loss against Jon Moxley.

Back from the break, we get ready for the final match of the night. Hechicero’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Next up, is the music of Mascara Dorada, as he makes his way to the ring.

AEW International Championship No. 1 Contender Tournament Match: Mascara Dorada vs. Hechicero

The bell rings, as we are underway…Dorado puts out his hand for a handshake, which he sort of gets…Hechicero puts up his hand, as Dorado grabs it, but he escapes the hold. Both men are down on the mat, as Dorado puts Hechicero in a figure four like hold, but breaks out of the hold. Hechicero grabs the right leg of Dorada and work on it…Dorada fights back as Dorada leaps up, but Hechicero moves, as Dorada goes face first. Hechicero puts Dorada in a surfboard, but he escapes and then counters with his surfboard on Hechicero. Herchicero escapes the hold…Dorada gets ready to leap over the ropes, but Hechicero goes to the outside, only to be taken down by Dorado. Hechicero is sent back in the ring, as Dorada goes to the top rope and takes down Hechicero with a spinning drop kick…Hechicero recovers and sends Dorada face first…

-FULL COMMERCIAL BREAK (ON MAX)-

Back from the break, Dorada rolls through the ropes and sends Hechicero to the floor. Dorada runs the ropes and lands on Hechicero with a tornado! Dorado sends Hechicero back in the ring and climbs to the top and comes down with a cross body. Hechicero rolls out of the way to avoid a pin…both men attempt pinfalls on each other….Both men drop kick each other and go down. The ref begins the ten count. Dorada is up first, then Hechicero. Dorada charges at Hechicero, who connects with a spinning lariat. Dorado then takes down Hechicero and covers him for only a two count. Hechicero takes down Dorada with a dragon screw on the ropes. Hechicero goes to the top rope and comes down connecting with a big elbow on Dorada. Hechicero covers Dorado for only a two count! Dorada chops Hechicero, as both men exchange slaps and punches….Hechicero runs the ropes and then gets taken down by Dorada…Dorada and Hechicero are on the second rope. Dorada fight back and sends Hechicero back first to the mat. Dorada is on the top rope and comes down on Hechicero with a huge shooting star press and covers him to get the three count.

Winner by pinfall: Mascara Dorada

Dorada celebrates, as the show goes off the air.
