According to a report from Fightful Select, a fan attempted to attack MJF at the hotel where the newest member of The Hurt Syndicate was staying, following Wednesday night’s AEW Grand Slam Mexico event.
Fightful Select also notes that sources said the fan “went after MJF at the hotel” and that he is unharmed, completely fine and even laughed it off afterwards. The source also notes MJF said that he was proud of the reaction he received from the fans during the live broadcast.
MJF and Mistico squared-off during the event, with the finish seeing Mistico winning by disqualification after the the former World Champion hit a low-blow on Mistico and then taking his mask off-post match and putting on himself, while flipping off the fans.
The Hurt Syndicate Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, Templario and Titan came down to make the save after Mistico’s mask was taken off.
