State of Florida renaming trail in honor of late WWE Hall of Famer

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and members of the family of late WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan announced on Friday at Hogan’s Hangout in Clearwater, part of the Pinellas Trail is being renamed as the Hulk Hogan Trail. The portion of the trail that is being renamed is a two-mile stretch between Oak Avenue and Coronado Drive and will include red and yellow signs. In addition there will be exercise stations with pull-up bars for people to use.

Hogan’s widow – Sky Daily, Hogan’s son Nick and his wife Tana and WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart were on hand for the announcement.

Nick Hogan thanked Governor DeSantis and everyone involved who made this possible and said the trail is a “living legacy” on behalf of his father, adding that he hopes the trail will be a place where people can exercise and work to become the best version of themselves.

Jimmy Hart thanked TKO, WWE and Governor DeSantis for carrying on the legacy of Hogan.

Hogan passed away back on July 24, 2025 at the age of 71 due to a heart attack, following several weeks of complications from neck surgery. Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily stated during a previous interview with the Daily Mail, she is looking to file a medical malpractice lawsuit.
