Sting vs. The Giant with Jimmy Hart

WCW Nitro starts with The Giant and Sting in the ring. Sting spits in The Giant’s face. The Giant goes for a right hand but Sting ducks and Sting with a right hand. Eric Bischoff is on commentary and he says that Jimmy Hart paid off Harlem Heat and The Giant, saying that The Giant was supposed to be Sting’s tag team partner. Sting with a chop block and he climbs the top rope, landing a chop block. Sting with right hands. Sting to the ropes and he goes for a cross body but The Giant doesn’t move and Sting falls. The Giant with an elbow drop. He throws Sting to the outside of the ring. He throws Sting into the barricade. The Giant gorilla presses Sting over the top rope and into the ring. The Giant gets on the ring apron and he goes for a Chokeslam but Sting dropkicks The Giant and The Giant falls to the outside of the ring. In comes Lex Luger but Jimmy Hart stops The Giant and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: No contest

Roy’s thoughts: A great way to start the show. They never start shows like these anymore. Sting against The Giant is a big match and this to start the show will get any fan wanting to watch.

The WCW Nitro video airs and we cut to the announce team. Eric Bischoff mentions that it was supposed to be Sting and The Giant defending the WCW Tag Team titles against Harlem Heat but WCW committee said The Giant cannot step in for Luger. We see a clip from moments ago of Harlem Heat walking down to the ring and Jimmy Hart giving them an envelope with money inside. Jimmy Heat talks to them and they agree. We cut back to the announce team and to the ring.

Steiner Brothers vs. Nasty Boys vs. Road Warriors

The bell rings and we are under way. Rick and Knobbs start the match. Both men with right hands. Rick with a body slam. He goes for the cover but Sags breaks it up. In comes Scott and he drop kicks Sags. Animal gets in the ring and he lands a drop kick onto Rick and an elbow onto Knobbs. Animal goes for a splash onto Knobbs but he moves out of the way. Sags is tied in and he lands a clothesline. Scott tags himself in and Hawk gets in the ring too. Scott with a pump handle slam. Both with a double clothesline. Hawk goes for a spear in the corner but Scott moves out of the way and Hawk hits the ring post, falling to the outside. Scott to the outside and he throws him back in the ring. Hawk with a neck breaker. He goes for the cover but Scott kicks out. Animal is tagged in and he lands a shoulder block. He throws Scott to the ropes but Rick hits Animal with a right hand. Rick goes for the cover but Animal kicks out. Scott gets in the ring and he lands a belly to belly. Sags gets in the ring and he lands elbow drops onto Scott. Knobbs is tagged in and they double team Scott. Rick gets in the ring and he hits Knobbs with a right hand. Rick with a flying clothesline. All six men begin to fight in and out of the ring. Back in the ring, Hawk with a shoulder tackle onto Rick. Animal is tagged in and as is Scott. In comes Knobbs and he hits Scott but Scott with a clothesline. All six men begin to fight.

-Commercial Break-

The Nasty Boys double team Hawk in the ring. Knobbs with a bulldog onto Hawk. He goes for the cover but Hawk kicks out. Rick gets in the ring and he German suplex Knobbs. Scott is tagged in and in comes Sags. Scott throws Sags to the ropes but Sags with a shoulder tackle. Sags tags Animal into the ring. Rick is tagged in and he hits Animal with a right hand. In comes Knobbs and he body slams Rick. He gets on the second rope but Rick gets on the second rope. The Road Warriors hit them both and they both fall to the outside of the ring. Out come Public Enemy and they are dressed like the Nasty Boys. They hit Knobbs and throw him under the ring. One of Public Enemy gets in the ring and he is pinned by Scott Steiner.

Winners: The Steiner Brothers

Roy’s thoughts: The tag team division here was solid. The Steiner Brothers are one of the greatest tag teams of all time, same for Road Warriors, The Nasty Boys I always enjoyed watching too. Fun match.

Hulk Hogan and The Booty Man with The Booty Babe vs. Arn Anderson and Kevin Sullivan with Miss Elizabeth and Woman

The bell rings and we are under way. The Booty Man and Arn Anderson start the match. The Booty Man with right hands followed by an atomic drop. In comes Sullivan but The Booty Man with an atomic drop. Arn and Sullivan fall to the outside of the ring. Arn grabs The Booty Man and drags him to the outside. Arn throws The Booty Man into the barricade. Hogan with a clothesline onto Arn. He throws Arn into the ring and they land a double big boot onto Arn. Sullivan is tagged in. Sullivan with a big boot onto The Booty Man. Sullivan climbs the top rope but The Booty Man with a right hand. The Booty Man gorilla presses Sullivan. The Booty Man with a running knee to the face. The Booty Man hits Arn off the ring apron. Sullivan with a rake to the eyes and Arn is tagged in. They double team The Booty Man. Arn with an arm bar and the referee breaks it up. Hogan is tagged in. Hogan lifts Arn up and slams him onto the top rope. He goes for the cover, in comes Sullivan with an elbow to break it up but Hogan moves out of the way and Sullivan lands the elbow onto Arn. The Booty Man is tagged in. They double clothesline Arn. The Booty Man goes for the cover but Arn kicks out. The Booty Man grabs Ar but Arn throws The Booty Man to the outside. Sullivan grabs The Booty Man but The Booty Man with right hands. The Booty Man gets on the ring apron and goes for a sunset flip onto Arn but Sullivan breaks it up. Sullivan is tagged in. Sullivan with right hands and Arn is tagged in. Arn distracts the referee and Woman rakes The Booty Man in the eyes. Sullivan is tagged back in. Sullivan throws The Booty Man to the outside of the ring. Arn throws The Booty Man back into the ring and Arn is tagged in. Arn with a right hand and Sullivan is tagged in. Sullivan with a kick to the face. Sullivan to the ropes and he lands a shoulder tackle. Hogan is tagged in and Hogan with right hands. Hogan with a big boot onto Sullivan. In comes Arn and Hogan with a big boot onto him. Arn falls to the outside of the ring. Miss Elizabeth distracts the referee and Woman takes her heel off and gives it to Kevin Sullivan. The Booty Babe takes her heel off and gives it to Hogan. He turns around and hits Sullivan with the heel. Hogan goes for the cover and he gets the pin.

Winners: Hulk Hogan and The Booty Man

Roy’s thoughts: Not the best match and this wasn’t the most fun tag team match.

-Commercial Break-

Gene Okerlund is in the ring with Hulk Hogan, The Booty Man and The Booty Babe. Hogan tells him that thank God for the Booty Babe. He says they had them where they wanted them but everytime they come out, Sullivan and Arn would always get the last laugh. The Booty Man says Hogan is right but he has something he has had on the back burner that will bring them the last laugh. He tells Hogan he just needs him to be his tag team partner next week. He tells Hogan he can’t say everything but it will give them a bit of satisfaction. Hogan accepts.

-Commercial Break-

World Heavyweight Championship Match – Ric Flair (c) with Miss Elizabeth and Woman vs. Lex Luger

The bell rings and we are under way. Luger throws Flair to the ropes and Luger with a shoulder tackle. Luger throws Flair to the ropes and Luger with a gorilla press. Flair rolls to the outside of the ring and back into the ring. Luger throws Flair to the ropes and Luger with a gorilla press. He grabs Flair but Flair with a kick. Flair with a right hand. Flair grabs Luger but Luger throws him into the corner. Luger runs towards Flair but Flair with an elbow to the face. Flair climbs the top rope but Luger with a right hand. Luger gorilla presses Flair. He throws Flair into the corner and Luger with a clothesline. Luger with another clothesline and Flair falls to the outside of the ring. Flair gets back in the ring and he pokes Luger in the eyes. Flair with a chop to the chest. He grabs Luger but Luger throws him to the ropes. Luger lifts Flair up and throws him onto the top rope. Luger with a clothesline. Luger to the outside and he walks towards Miss Elizabeth and Woman. They walk away and Luger gets back. Luger gets on the ring apron but Flair with a knee. Flair distracts the referee and Woman rakes Luger in the eyes. Luger gets in the ring and Flair with a chop block. Flair with the Figure Four Leg Lock but Luger reverses it and Flair lets go of the hold. Flair throws Luger to the outside of the ring. Flair throws Luger into the barricade but Luger comes back and clotheslines Flair down. Flair gets back up and gets in the ring. Luger gets on the ring apron and goes for a sunset flip. He goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Luger with a back slide but Flair kicks out. Luger throws Flair into the corner and Flair flips over the top rope. He gets on the ring apron and climbs the top rope. Flair jumps but Luger catches him and he places Flair on the top rope. Luger with a suplex. Luger throws Flair to the ropes and he bodyslams him. Woman grabs a cup from the fans and Miss Elizabeth gets on the ring apron. She distracts the referee. Luger gets Flair in the Torture Rack. Woman gets in the ring and she throws a cup of coffee into Luger’s face. Flair rolls Luger goes for the cover, Flair puts his legs on the ropes and he gets the pin.

Winner: Still World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair

Sting comes down after the match and gets in the ring but Flair leaves the ring.

We cut to the announce team and they talk about the show and Nitro goes off the air.

Roy’s thoughts: This was an ending you don’t see often but not a bad one. Flair is the biggest bad guy, such a fun wrestler to watch. Luger is just a lot bigger and the ending to this was smart. A very good show with a lot of big names and some good matches.
