Maximo Leaves CMLL
Maximo’s recent hair loss to Texano Jr. seems to be his farewell with CMLL. He has announced that he his leaving CMLL to wrestle on the INDY scene (and not going to AAA). He feels that CMLL focuses on one wrestler and noone else but doesn’t mention a name (of course he means Mistico). I?ve never been a fan of Maximo nor do I think CMLL will particularly miss him.

Woman Claims She Was Abismo Negro’s ‘Secret Lover’
This week a woman went to the Mexican press claiming she was Abismo Negro’s ‘secret lover’ (I absolutely refuse to even acknowledge this ladies name). She claims that Abismo would’ve married her if not for his wife having cancer and their kids. She also claims that the wife caused him the stress that resulted into his abuse of drugs in the past. Just another person attempting to benefit and get their 15 minutes of fame off of a person that’s passed and it’s honestly disgusting in my opinion.

Distrito Federal Box y Lucha Commission Suspends Konnan
Well, the Juvi/Konnan/Jack Evans saga took another turn this week when the DF Box y Lucha Commission suspended Konnan from wrestling for an undisclosed amount of time. This is after they didn’t even speak to anyone from AAA or Konnan for that matter about the incident. No word on how long his suspension will be and if Jack Evans will be punished. I believe Konnan will still be allowed to appear on shows (that is, if AAA even pays attention to the suspension or Box y Lucha attempts to enforce it). Also, the word going around is that X-Pac may, in fact, be the one who placed the certain item in Juventud’s bag. Juventud also went under nose surgery this week supposedly to repair the injuries to his nose. To me that sounds a little far fetched but it is Juventud.

Super Porky, Psicosis II, Histeria, Pirata Morgan, & Hijo de Pirata Morgan Leave AAA
AAA announced on their site late last week that Super Porky had left the promotion which shouldn’t be a big shock since he has been popping up on INDY shows for a couple of weeks now. Not a huge loss for AAA at all in my opinion. Also, Psicosis II, Histeria, Pirata Morgan, & Hijo de Pirata Morgan have left the promotion as well. That has a fairly large chunk of the undercard leaving. It seems AAA needs to bring in a few young stars to replace these departing veterans in my opinion.

Luchadores Major Factor in This Weekend’s Ring of Honor Wrestlemania-Weekend Cards
Luchadores Incognito, Magno, AAA’s Alex Koslov, & NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Blue Demon Jr. are all appearing at Ring of Honor’s big shows this weekend. On the 04/03 “Supercard of Honor IV” show Magno and Incognito will be opposite sides as Magno teams up with ROH World Tag Team Champion: Kevin Steen and Jay Briscoe to face Magno and his partners Chris Hero & Eddie Edwards of American Wolves in a 6-Man Tag (Trios) Match. Also on the card Blue Demon Jr. will face Claudio Castagnoli, Brent Albright, & ROH World Tag Champ: El Generico in a Four Corner Survival and Alex Koslov will face Bryan Danielson in a special Challenge Match! The following night at the “Take No Prisoners” PPV Taping Magno & Incognito will once again be on opposite sides as this time Magno teams up with Kevin Steen, El Generico, & Jay Briscoe to face Incognito and his partners the American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) and Chris Hero of Sweet & Sour Inc.! Also, Alex Koslov will face Roderick Strong in another Special Challenge Match and in one of the Main Events Blue Demon Jr. will tag with former NWA World Champ: Brent Abright to face ROH World Champ: Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli in a big Tag Match! This will be all 4 luchadores first appearences in Ring of Honor.

INDY Promoter Suspended 2 Years for Using Fake Abismo Negro
The day before Abismo Negro’s body was found he was booked at a show in Cancun and reportedly wrestled his match that night. The problem is that Abismo would have been dead by this time and Black Abyss was in the match so it couldn’t have been him (he has wrestled under the mask at times in AAA when Abismo missed a show). The promoter continously claimed that it was truly Abismo Negro but the Lucha Commission has suspended him from promoting Lucha Libre for 2 years and will be issuing some sort of fine to him.

Super Crazy Agrees to Appear in PWR
Pro Wrestling Revolution has announced that they have come to an agreement to bring in former WWE & ECW superstar, Super Crazy! He has signed to appear on 3 upcoming shows, with the first expected to be in April. PWR is associated with the NWA and is one of the few American-based Lucha Libre promotions mixing American wrestling with traditional Lucha Libre. PWR regulars include Los Mysterios (Rey Mysterio Sr. & Hijo de Rey Mysterio), Rayman, PWR Champion: Oliver John, Vampire Warrior (formely Gangrel of WWE), TNA Knockout: Raisha Saeed, Super Parka, and NWA World Champion: Blue Demon Jr.

CSI To Feature Lucha Libre in 200th Episode
CSI’s 200th Episode this week will feature a murderer involved the world of Lucha Libre. Several matches and luchadores are said to be seen in the show, but the only one that I know of for sure to be in it is former WWE star, Aaron “Jesus” Aguilera. In the commercial I thought I saw shots of L.A. Park and Ephesto but I may be mistaken. The show airs Thursday (which by the time you read this will have been last night so look for a replay).
