Mickie James & Melina vs. Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix

Andy Knowles would have been in heaven in Huntington. Mickie did a meet & greet pre-show behind the arena, and the hundreds of kids around me, could not get enough of James. Would of liked to have seen Beth Phoenix get some more offense in.

Winner: Mickie James & Melina

Tommy Dreamer vs. Paul Burchill

Kind of a weak match. Dreamer hit his ‘spots’. Burchill was without Katie Lea.

Winner: Tommy Dreamer

“Priceless” Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes vs. Cryme Tyme

It surprised me how over Cryme Tyme was with the crowd. However, this was a VERY kid-friendly, face-oriented crowd. DiBiase & Rhodes put in a great performance, and DiBiase hit his finisher perfectly.

Winner: “Priceless” Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes

Intercontinental Championship Title Match:
CM Punk (c) vs. Kane

Interesting match from the two, with the crowd split. CM Punk get the obvious win, with a reversal of a chokeslam into the GTS.

Winner: CM Punk

ECW Championship Title Match:
Jack Swagger (c) vs. Christian

Many in the crowd were surprised that Christian had returned. Another great match, with the Unprettier getting reversed into the obvious win for Swagger.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Kofi Kingston vs. Chris Jericho

Really showed what Jericho can do in carrying a match. His abilities turned this into a good match. Unfortunately, due to the crowd, I was unable to hear the pre-match promo.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Randy Orton vs. John Cena

With this crowd, this was the loudest reaction I have heard for Cena. This is what I believed would be the WrestleMania championship match, so this turned out to be an interesting match. These two work perfectly together, however, to end the house show on a high note…Cena wins.

Winner: John Cena

After the show, Cena brings Chimmel into the ring. They both sing “Country Roads”, as this is one of Cena’s staples when he performs on a show in West Virginia.

Good show, although this really proved to me what WWE is going after in the kids demographic. I had never felt this at a WWE show before. Makes me hope WrestleMania will still be cool, as I would hate to shill all this money out on a trip to Houston…to be surrounded by hundreds of kids again.
